I didnāt address your argument because a discussion of the NRAās public relations and donation strategy is beyond the scope of this discussion.

Again, you need to understand that corporations are not interested in wading through factional subtlety. Theyāre in it to make money, and theyāre not going to make money with controversial symbols floating around. This is reality, and contrary to what youāve been told it isnāt new.

The more I think about it, the more I think it might actually work out.
Itāll piss off TONS of endemic twitch fans for sure, because they live off of that environment and interaction. But if Blizzardās end goal is to court mainstream viewers: the players/fans of OW who know little of twitch culture and even people who donāt play OW, who just enjoy watching the competitionā¦ maybe it isnāt such a bad thing.
Theyāll drive away a portion of the viewers for sure, but if they keep marketing the league as a mainstream sports-viewing package, more and more ānormiesā will come and fill the āseatsā so to speak. And those fans wonāt mind the lack of twitch chat.

Good. Iām glad theyāre filtering out at least a small portion of the garbage that comes out of twitch chat. Itās a complete mess and itās just full of people trying to meme and be funny, but in reality itās just annoying.
