The OW team has been dropping hints of this for a long time, so the reveal wasn’t exactly a huge surprise. That doesn’t disqualify anyone’s feelings though.
To anyone who isn’t gay, I propose to you this imaginary scenario: You are a teenage boy, and you have this super cool uncle who used to be a peace keeper or something. You might consider him a role model of sorts?
Imagine then that one day he pulls out an old photo of his ex-boyfriend and says “guess i never told you that dudes make me horny, huh?”. His ex-bf is a young man in the photo, just like you are, as your uncle is revealing this to you.
Could you say with utmost certainty that you wouldn’t feel conflicted, or dare I say… shocked? There’s a good reason Blizzard held back this “lore bomb” until most kids moved on to Fortnite and other games. Surrogacy, adoption, in-vitro, you don’t need biological men and biological women to have children anymore. It’s not even that new of a concept or practice.

It isn’t the same argument. Saying you want to pet a dog, is a different argument to I want to smash the face of a dog in with a hammer. The aim of petting the dog is to be nice to it, the aim of smashing a dog with a hammer is to severely injure or possibly kill it. Different actions and intentions, therefore different argument.
Lucky for humans, you can’t turn gay, you are born gay.

You want to know the term I’d use? I’d use the term “racism” and “racist” and I’d have a serious talk with them about their attitudes towards race and how it hurts all of us in the end. And if they don’t want to have that conversation then I will leave them on their own and they’re going to get themselves into trouble when they let this attitude out.
If they want to be racist, I can’t stop them. But I’m not going to reward their behaviour. I’m not friends with racists unless they want to get over their racism. Same with bigoted prejudice by sexuality, national origin and how they choose to worship in private.

Except that homosexuality has been seen in almost every animal in existence and is in fact the norm in many species but don’t let a thing like science get in the way of homophobia.

A culture isn’t based on race, it’s based on where you come from.

I’m not just talking about America, though realistically whites can include people living all over the world and not just in the Anglosphere.

i mean you’re not wrong, i think gay people have been so programmed by media it’s not even funny, i’ve seen macho gay dudes, but they are either prisoners or not as outwards going, they like to not let the whole world know their private stuff.
i mean name a macho gay guy on tv these days. it’s hard.
