Why I Have Yet to Not Despise Mercy's Current State

Very constructive. It’s possible to have a discussion about Mercy with dissenting opinions.

ana needs to aim zen needs to aim lucio needs to aim moira needs to aim (sort of) so mercy should need to aim

This guy dodged me the last time we had a convo. :joy:

Prolly just a troll tbh.

hi i’m back want to debate

Pharmercy still takes a lot to ground without a Sombra. McCree is the only one who doesn’t have to divert his attention solely to the air in order to deal with them when he’s using Deadeye.

That’s why I said it adds more counter play, not that it completely negates it. Nothing should ever make 2 - 3 ults irrelevant while they are being used and actively dealing damage.

The healing spray comes out of the centre of her model, so having everyone piled up in one location is the perfect situation for Moira to be pumping out healing, especially when you combine her healing orb on top of that.

You kind of answered this one yourself. Bio nade + any healing is good healing.

In all fairness, you were the one who was rude/intolerant first. You asked for a skill based Mercy ability that would raise her skill ceiling. When I offered one, you responded with sarcasm.

Lucio doesn’t need to aim to heal, unless you’re considering being in the general vicinity of other teammates as “aiming”. Moira has a soft lock mechanic similar to Sym’s old beam. Zen doesn’t have to aim to heal with his orbs. Ana is the only one who needs especially good aim in order to heal properly, and that has always been the case.

If you’re talking about their DPS mechanics such as Lucio’s gun, or Zen’s dps orbs, you would have to compare those to Mercy’s gun - which she also has to aim, despite it being a forgiving projectile. She just rarely ever has any reason to use it as she is the only healer who has to stop healing in order to do damage.

offensive bio nade mind blown

i apologise for my sarcasm (not sarcastic)

It’s just a large hitbox, no soft lock to be seen.

Ah, my mistake. I’ve played Moira a bit and the way her beam curves reminded me of Sym, so I assumed it had a similar function.

It’s just a soft-lock animation.

alright let us continue lets assume in out situation both teams have equal ultimate economy. team one uses 3 ultimates to secure what should be a wipe team 2 uses one t revert that and comes back with their own 3 ultimates team one was using ana and not mercy they lose the team fight

2.25 seconds didn’t do much before and it won’t now either

If team 1 used 3 ultimates and didn’t catch Mercy in any of them, they deserved to lose.

My only question is, if the Mercy is hiding, why exactly is the team that’s securing a wipe using 3 ultimates?

mercy is hiding in the backline waiting for the team fight to end she activates rez behind cover and appears when the cast time is ending for a team resurrect

So she was in the fight then retreated after hearing the enemy team use ultimates?

i assumed that one was a tank ult like grav or shatter not 2 dps ults and a support

So why is team 1 using 3 ultimates to kill a team that’s down a main healer? They’re fighting a 6v5 and have numbers advantage and the advantage of having an active healer in the fight where the enemy team does not. They shouldn’t have to use three ultimates to clear the point.

How is that any better… Using three ultimates against a team with no main healer is absolutely pathetic and you should not deserve a win at all.

no the team planned to drain the enemy ultimates that was how mercy worked then one team would commit and the other would deal as much damage as possible only to die then they would come back and use their own ultimates
