Why I Have Yet to Not Despise Mercy's Current State

It’s idea for new passive for Mercy:
Riot control: teammate being healed or boosted by you can’t step from objective too far. Your healing/boost increased by 10% on teammates near objectives.

There was some idea of allowing Mercy to pull teammates toward her, like Roadhog can pull enemies with hook, too.

That’d 100% be abused for trolling.

So, erm… Titanium. Any reason for bringing Kazper into this thread? Because your ‘discussion’ with him is neither productive nor on-topic.

Trolling now constitutes of quoting someone on the internet.

Cool.

And yet, here you are. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I find this term “dogpiling” hilarious.

You’re on a forum site. If you say something that people disagree with, expect people to express that disagreement. If you are going to engage in a controversial topic, expect controversy.

As I said in that very thread:

This evidence consisting of insistence that we did it, without ever quoting where we did.

“It’s true because I said it was.”

We take things too far by shooting down your arguments.

Because apparently that’s intolerable.

At which point it’s a 2v2 in that argument.

“Dogpile” must have a very convenient definition for you.

Because it’s “abusive” to shoot down someone’s arguments, apparently.

You could mute the thread and stop replying if you don’t want to see our replies…

Correct. That’s why giving teammates increased healing on point/near payload feels like better solution, as it encourages them to stay. While payload has healing, points have no benefits, provide no cover, but game expects you to stay on point to capture it.

Literally everything above just proves you’re trying to instigate a fight over something i even specifically quoted you in and you ignored until one of your little followers was down to dogpile on.

So here, You actually want to respond to it so bad a month later, be my guest.

What is figure of speech? Figured somebody who’s so articulate would be able to follow, but I guess that’s only the case when you’re not trying to instigate an argument.

Floors open.

Oh, and for the record

This is a giant strawman. What i actually said was:

No, you ban bait.

I can already imagine all the possibilities… :joy:

I welcome adversity.

Well, I wanted them to quote their post where they supposedly dismantle the OP, but they are against that.

Are my eyes lying to me? Titanium dreams about having troll-like ability for Mercy?

Then I remember often being only player on payload, and agree to have that in game, despite obvious potential for trolling.

Your Reinhardt wants to rush in? Pull him back, it’s team game, and team needs their shield. Can play “pull a teammate” with enemy Roadhog, saving your teammate from his combo. Could really use something to keep teammates from charging in one by one.

You could also use it to pull team mates off a ledge with you.

Is it weird, that I find it a lot more useful, than Pacify?

Why try to reduce damage on teammate, when you can pull one out of harm’s way, just like GA allows you to get out of harm’s way.

I was actually referring to taking a team mate with you when someone boops you off a cliff or down Illios’ well.

At any rate, such an ability will be endlessly annoying for the person on the receiving end.

If your teammate lacks any self-preservation, should you:

  • allow them to die, which usually ends in lost game;
  • use very annoying ability to keep them from going suicidal;

Nothing annoys me more, than watching my teammate dying. Would also be thankful, if teammate gets me out of dangerous spot, despite my attempts to stay there and die.

I’d let them die. If that causes the loss, then it was a hopeless endeavor, anyway.

That ‘very annoying ability’ is why people complain about Doomfist or Brigitte; The single most frustrating thing in a video game, is to have control over your character being taken away. This includes CC, non-skippable cutscenes, etc.

This is called Life Grip in WoW and as much as it can be fun and useful, I would never put it in OW. People have been pulled into their deaths before. They have actually added things where you can be immune to such abilities for a period of time because of problems like this. And I definitely wouldn’t trust the OW community to abuse it to high heaven.

They didn’t remove teleport from Symmetra, and you still can place it near cliff for teammates to fall.

That doesn’t mean they should put an ability like this in OW.

Trust me, I have briefly considered this as an OW ability before and quickly dismissed it.

Yes, I agree. And I don’t think it’s the easiest to explain why this would not be widely accepted since it’s using it on a teammate and not an enemy. So you feel like it’s more helpful than harmful, which it can be in the right hands, but I would hate for people to tell me where they think I should be, especially in a faster paced game like OW.

I would assume his awareness has improved greatly, because that’s something very important for D.Va players, to protect the supports with DM

Why of all people would you use Fissure for a point about Rein?! Rein is his weakest MT, the “official” reason that was given for his playoff escapades was that iRemiix was a better Rein, whether you believe it or not. Why would you use Fissure as the example when you could’ve gone for a Rein specialist like Fragi?
