I’m considering having a short list of stock replies for when the individual does his derailment shtick. Don’t actually reply to them, just scold them for being off topic like they’re a third grader acting up in class.
And I know the individual can probably see this post now. 
Not much they can do about it, seeing as all I’m saying is that I’m going to call out topic derailment when I see it.
