if you have the skill to abuse physics to get wierd places then that is all good and fine so long as its within reason… this is clearly within reason.
Mei and symetra can place teleporter in roofs too to get to point A on for example eichenwald…
abusing the ever living crap out of physics is part of the game!
it’s what makes the game great! (within reason)

well none of them need to do roof surfing to be effective
doomfist need roof surf to be effective and unpredictable
because predictable doomfist is a easy to kill doomfist

Because his kit it already overloaded and the techs give him even more mobility and damage/kill potential.
People hate doomfist because he has too much damage and cc attached to every single one of his abilities that also double as mobility. He’s probably the biggest contributor to cc(and dmage) creep in the game. If there is a doomfist on the enemy team, you’re pretty much forced to swap off certain heroes and to pick another cc reliant hero.

its a fun mechanic… if its opressive then there are better ways to nerf him then by limiting how fun he is to play…
that just seams like some kind of bitter revenge motive…

I actually rather have his cc, sustain or damage reduced since mobility techs are the only skillful part of his kit and doing “tricks” is kinda fun. However if the choice is between removing the techs or keeping him unchanged, i would take the former every time.

Nah I disagree. The movement Doomfist can get off of abusing physics+environment is far beyond anything he should be capable of which is one of the major problems with him in the game. Rocket punch into a random statue that let you one shot a widow way off on a ledge is just as ridiculous as whatever Brig could do.
i never agreed with that nerf to birgitta personally she had to burn 2 cooldown to do that… so i considered it quite balanced.
When and where? cause i’ve been following this game and it’s quirks closely for years now and random forum user is the first i have heard of this.
Sliding up walls with an ability that is suppose to impact them,
I don’t understand how this is considered a good thing?
I don’t really care about it. It was useless and fun as you would just get obliterated if you tried to close the gap.
Out of all the changes I think my favourite was the initial Mercy momentum glitch where she was fast but trickier to control. It also interacted with things like concussive blast cos I once got sent across the Mediterranean from Illios XD
He hasn’t suddenly become broken (I don’t think he is), diagonal punches, bounces and roof surfing have been in the game since the day Doomfist was put in the game. With time players have gotten better at Doom and found more and more spots where they can pull those moves off. Maybe you have climbed to where you start to come across good Doom players.
Yup, this. No other hero has so many swiss-army-knife-multi-purpose-do-it-all abilities. Most heroes get one mobility, one damage ability, one self-sustain and so on. I don’t see why Doomfist needs to be able to use all his abilities for all these purposes while being able to do crazy burst damage and traverse half the map in two button presses.
But they removed almost every cc of his ablilites. Only gave him slam cc back, because he was actually garbage then. I think he is fine.
lol that must have been a nice view X3
?
His slam still pulls people in. Uppercut still launches people in the air. And RP still stuns and knocks people back. Even his ultimate has a knockback, might not be that useful, but it’s still there.
I searched for it:
It was mentioned by a dev from blizzard in a q&a on a sourfour stream back in November 2018.
I unfortunately cant watch that stream anymore. Getting an error message.
Maybe try it yourself. Twitch
They reverted the internal change to Rocket Punch distance (when canceled with a jump). They tried reducing the extra distance by 40%, but it felt bad during internal testing.
After that they nerfed Doomfist by reducing slam distance from 25 metres to 20 metres (actually nerfing the damage too!)
And reducing the enemy air control loss, when uppercuted, from 3 secs to 0.6 secs.

I don’t have the time machine it’s asking for but i’ll take your word for it, thank you.

hes not nearly the only one that can do that
Proof of Blizzard removing almost every kind of cc:
PTR Patchnotes November 14, 2018:
- Rising Uppercut
- Loss of air control duration lowered to 0.6 seconds from 3 seconds
- Seismic Slam
- Maximum range reduced from 20 meters to 15 meters (damage was actually also reduced with the reduction of the slam range)
PTR Patch Notes – November 19, 2018
Seismic Slam
- Victims no longer lose air control while being pulled in. (funny they stated this as a bug xD)
PTR Patch Notes – March 1, 2019
- Fixed a bug where Seismic Slam didn’t pull in enemies as intended
fun fact: Patch Notes – March 27, 2019
Seismic Slam
- Can now target through railings
- Fixed a bug where Seismic Slam wouldn’t break objects that should break

his normal weapon is the worst in the game for damage characters, they have to give him something

That’s no where near “removing almost every kind of cc”
They reduced secondary cc effects. The main functions of pulling in and knocking up targets are still there.
