Eh, if you’re referring to your earlier topic on how OW should have a monthly subscription to battle smurfs then, yeah, I guess all the people who were against that idea reeeaaally wanted to protect smurfs. No other reason to be against additional payments of course.

I never said that. I just said that the mentality against smurfs is usually the one from the losers, the one who can’t surpass obstacles and that always end up losing. I’m trying to make people have a mentality that a winner would have during those situations.

Unless he has evidence of what he is saying then it is in fact anecdotal.
I will repeat this one last time, I am talking about PC, I cannot comment on console because I don’t play on console nor do I have any factual information regarding console.
smurfinhg isnt okay but if you cant beat players better than you how can you climb

I’ve had this happen dozens of times over years, i’m not even saying smurfing is like a huge problem, just that smurfs exist and you seem to be taking issue with that for some reason??
and i’m currently masters on support, been gm and even low top500 a few seasons so I can generally spot a smurf since I recognize that level of play (im only plat/diamond on tank and dps since I dont play those roles much)
I mean beating someone thats just a bit better than you is a bit different than beating a top500 player smurfing in plat
I never stated smurfs don’t exist, I stated is not a relevant issue to which apparently you agree.

Most smurfs are diamond/master players, if they’re GM then they’re most likely smurfing to play with their friends, that’s why you see smurfs in groups alot

Anecdotal evidence is evidence based upon a specific experience someone had, this user was just providing a hypothetical situation. They’re just saying, “if it barks like a dog and looks like a dog, it’s probably a dog.”

Of course you can’t directly comment on the console experience, I get that. What I’m asking is for you to at least acknowledge the possibility that smurfing is a major problem on console, based off of what we’re telling you.

no I think its a relevant issue, its just that anytime someone says “I had a smurf in my game once” you demand evidence for some reason as if thats hard to believe
