Lootboxes. Simple as that. Blizzard is more able to get away with the lootbox bullcrap while Hi-Rez has to be more careful, especially after the OB64 bullcrap.
Me personally… I do agree. Paladins skins are just better. Even objectively because of their voice packs which can completely change the character’s personality.
For example, I am not a huge fan of normal Pip’s personality but I love Mad Scientist Pip’s personality a lot.
