When have I ever said that. I have said there is no evidence of any issues yet.
There are people crying about it, but when you break down their “experience” it’s because they’ve show patterns of being annoying… So of course people have reported them.
Like this. A totally unnecessary attempt to belittle and insult someone . Perfect example of a way to get reported and be on your way to actions if this was in game.
Saying “the only way” means there are no other possibilities.
One of the possibilities is that there is a system failure and you have just repeatedly discounted that.
No one disagrees with you that people should be punished. You are simply refusing to believe it’s even possible that there is error because you haven’t personally seen it.
It’s not an insult. It’s a genuine concern that anyone with any responsibility would not consider possible error.
Or because you politely asked one of them to swap, and OW2 fanbase freaks out over the request where the OW1 base would see the opportunity to counterswap. Bannable offense now to ask someone to counterswap, gotta watch 4 snipers try indefinitely against that Winston, sorry. Being a team isn’t allowed.
You’ve been probing the boundaries of gaslighting this entire thread, I don’t want to hear it.
A lot of shady things happen over at Blizz CS like refund tickets being silently closed so I’m not surprised when humans do answer it’s to blame users. I’ve had more positive experiences with Xbox CS in the past so hopefully they improve things in a few years.
The comment. He violated code of conduct. That document is long, it could be for anything.
(Also says access can be removed for “any or no reason” in the EULA).
No biases confirmed. I took what they said and found something in the terms of service that would justify the ban. Meaning it isn’t incorrect. Like I said, I’ve seen nothing in 7+ years that suggest someone’s been banned innocently.
I said read the comments (plural) of which there are three. The text the OP includes with the post is not referred to as a comment.
To make it easier for you, the name of the person that made the comment is MikeyLNG.
Blizzard said it was a mistake and reinstated the account - which describes what I said. Which also shows you weren’t actually looking for what I said.
Again, please just step away from your own biases and look.
And if it did, fair enough, but won’t have come from reports (violating code of conduct isn’t a game reporting thing) .
Assuming this actually happened (which is 50/50, it’s Reddit…), then there are no incorrect punishments there. They marked an account and fixed it, so officially he wasn’t suspended.
You find a case where someone’s legitimately banned incorrectly.
So when a random board post fits your narrative, it’s “evidence” but when it doesn’t it’s 50/50?
You would believe that there is an equal chance of:
someone reading this and deciding to take the time to make a post talking about their history with the issue and completely lying about it for no reason whatsoever, offering their own advice on how to deal with it
and
there being possible error in a system designed by Blizzard
You’ve convinced me.
The only possible way someone can get a ban is through multiple reports and therefore it is always their fault.
Unless I see a signed confession statement from Daddy Kotick admitting culpability, I will continue to believe Blizzard are incapable of error.
There’s plenty of legal merit. They sold us a product that we paid money for, that product
You sound perfectly fine with not owning anything you paid for because someone else made it. That’s a dangerous economic system and political system your generation is set to make with sentiments like that.
You never answered my question: are you fine with your paid off car or home getting repossessed because the manufacturer secretly disliked your use of it to the point they wouldn’t even tell you what their issue with you was? Is that your idea of a good way for the world to work? There’s consumer protections in place already to say that’s not how things work, just because laws are ignored does NOT mean I have no legal argument, stop gaslighting.
Um…“behave and nothing happens” has LITERALLY been proven to not be true in every case. We see people get banned/suspended b/c titled teams target them and report them for nothing.
I’m sorry, but the original poster has a point. If they ever did this to me and I’d bought a battle pass, I’d be filing for chargebacks fast enough to make heads spin.
I’ve lost count of the number of reports I’ve received for asking a 2-stack or 3-stack to group up with me or make a counterswap, not even rudely either… You can’t ask for ANY teamwork without the F2P kids of this sequel taking outrageous offense and antagonizing. It’s absolutely disgusting what the OW2 community has done to this game’s capacity for teamwork…
Blizzard, like many other companies, may have policies in place regarding the disclosure of specific details related to suspensions or disciplinary actions. These policies are often designed to protect the privacy of individuals involved and to maintain a level of confidentiality around such matters.
In the case of suspensions in online gaming, companies like Blizzard may not provide detailed information to avoid compromising the privacy of the individuals being disciplined. Sharing specific details could lead to potential harassment or other negative consequences for the affected players.
Additionally, companies may want to maintain a level of flexibility in their enforcement actions and not disclose specific criteria or thresholds for disciplinary measures. This helps prevent users from attempting to exploit loopholes or test the limits of acceptable behavior.
If you’re looking for more information on Blizzard’s specific policies, you may want to check their terms of service, code of conduct, or community guidelines. Keep in mind that companies may update these documents periodically, so it’s a good idea to refer to the most recent versions.
They don’t even email me upon account actions half the time. They don’t provide quotes from me upon request, just corporate gaslighting about honoring their policies without telling me what vague and blurry lines I’ve crossed.
because it’s done by AI and if people saw the innocent messages that the AI flagged as banworthy it would reveal blizzard’s incompetence. The few people who have managed to spam blizzard CS enough to get the logs of their ban almost without fail are filled with message such as “yes” or “:)”
