Why does Blizz struggle so much with female fantasy designs?

No, it’s just that all major media is controlled by men. They have nothing to complain about being they are already the ones putting the narratives that THEY want to see out into the world.

Go look up the people in power in animation companies, media companies, game companies. I guarantee you that at least 95 or even 98% of them will be men. This is even the case in the fashion and beauty industries, which are mostly consumed by women, but still overwhelmingly run by men.

People seriously underestimate what a privilege it is when people who think like you and act like you are overwhelmingly represented in places of power. They take it for granted in ways that other people don’t / can’t.

I don’t care about any of those things, it doesn’t affect the games I play or the media I consume.

Do you see women kicking up a fuss when there are fat men in games or media the same way men do? Do you see women complaining about “diversity characters” or “women in gaming getting uglier” or “invasion of my safe space” when they see such characters?

Was it a woman who complained about characters like Ellie or Aloy looking “too masculine?” Was it women who caused an uproar on social media when Square Enix said they were considering reducing Tifa’s breast size or physics? Is it women who keep giving bs lore reasons as to why the women in their games don’t age even though the men do?

I’ll wait.
