Why do you have the time to release emotes behind a $30 paywall

And you still think that the creation and selling of an emote is interfering with balance updates somehow. I didn’t need a degree to understand that.

Yes it is interference because they keep wasting money and resources making this garbage instead of fixing their damn game. It might be a different development part of the team but the money is shared out the same regardless.

so the people in charge of character creation make balance patches

or somehow to separate division of game development interfere with each other so much that if one group is working on something the other shuts down entirely

???

They

really what resources are they sharing?

Since you know the industry and how blizzard development teams work so well

It’s called money. The thing they keep making you pull out of your wallet.

The better the OWL experience, the more relevant Overwatch remains. Convince players on the fence to buy an OWL pass for the sake of an exclusive emote, and those players are more likely to be engaged with OWL, which in turn keeps them more invested in the game and has them coming back to it. Not only does this make the community more lively, but these players are more engaged with the pro-level competitive aspect of the game, which absolutely has a direct effect on how well they play, and thus further bettering the experience of Overwatch: The Game.

Waste of money and resources, I guess.

It sounds to me that you just want the perfect balance update to come out and make the game exactly how you want it, and anytime between now and then is them beating around the bush and slacking off. That just isn’t the case. Balance updates are happening all the time, behind the scenes in a test environment, being programmed and tested and debated and then through the ringer again. They’re not easy to make, both because of the manpower and because of the sensitive nature of trying to balance a competitive game. To suggest that Blizzard can never do anything else until the game is perfectly balanced, or perhaps is stuck in a perpetual loop of constant updates (since you might be more concerned with quantity over quality, judging by your first post), is a bit silly.

People aren’t going to buy a $30 pass for an emote for a game they don’t enjoy, or a game they believe is being heavily neglected by the dev team.

Who said I was buying it?

It’s not like they’re forcing you to buy it

Welcome to business 101.

If there’s a way to make easy money, do it. People WILL buy this pass, there’s no doubt about that. I only commend Blizzard for taking so long to sell out this badly.

so a billion dollar company is held in a stalemate in deciding to create new characters or release a balance patch

Please share some insight and perhaps a detailed explaination based on your own knowledge of the industry how this is possible

Because they are taking the fast and ez short term method of money milking instead of the slow steady and consistent long term method.

Basically they are making the same greedy mistake as any other AAA company.

making the same greedy mistakes that other AAA companies are making in by generating more money to develop more games, more content and more updates

How dare they try to make a profit and continue with content and games

Like I said in a post before. People like you are the reason the industry is in the trash and companies like Blizzard bend you over the table for free.

You’re getting very agressive and vindicative just for an emote which is just a bunch of pixels.

i am sorry i understand how the industry works now and i am fine with it

There are 3 games i play and that is it. I don’t generate alot of revenue for the gaing industry as a whole

Nah you just spout words defending a faceless corporation thinking they are smiling down upon you.

Rage against the system.

Its really cute

They literally released Hammond, not even a full month ago.

Just because you’re butthurt about some character doesn’t mean it’s THEIR priority to change that character.

And EVEN IF IT WAS, why in the world do you think that the same department that handles the emote is the same department that handles balancing issues?
