Have you played Kingdom Come Deliverance?
Nope, what is it?(20 char l
Ah yes the classic âItâs fine, Iâm not racist/sexist/homophobic. I just literally donât want to even have to acknowledge it exists in any remote capacity or have it ever impact my life in any way whatsoever or be forced to think about it or the consequences of my actions/choices towards it, and if I ever DO have any of those things happen, then itâs on [said groupâs] shoulders and THEIR FAULT so now Iâm JUSTIFIED in not supporting them!â
Classic.
Well, we still donât know what the Pyro is, Spy is at least bi and Scout has banged a few with his âbucket of chickenâ PUA technique, but still, the âstoryâ shorts added on what we already had and the âthirstâ for lore was nowhere near as the one from the OW community, if you think about it we seem to care a little more about the story than the game itself, although to be fair, the game is a huge mess.
All Iâm saying is that they met at the YMCA.
Open World RPG based on history set in Europe, bashed by some communities because for the time setting and the location the so called âdiversityâ was for all intents and purposes non existant, still a good game.
I guess. Itâs tricky to try and not be accused of either pandering or being lazy with the representation lol
Really I think there was no way it could be done without gaining some backlash. Itâs just part of how the internet reacts nowadays
I think it was brought up nicely tbh. It didnât feel forced, it wasnât the highlight of the story or anything, it was just a keyhole look to his past, a side comment thrown in the narrative.
If a character is âdestroyedâ for you simply by being gay, then you shouldnât be playing this game in the first place.
You may want to go back to writing 101 if you think that was âBTW Iâm gay.â
It was two characters talking about the past. That is a common way to inform your audience of what happened. Telling would be him just saying to her âHey remember my gay lover and how Iâm gay?â But thatâs not what happened. At all.
I mean, just replace him with a her and realize that itâs literally a trope used countless times; Soldier canât stop fighting, gives up the love of his life so she can live happily with someone who can give that to her, continues fighting and misses her. Itâs the entire plot of the main guy from Person of Interest. Come the frig on, itâs hardly original at this point; the only difference is that itâs two dudes, so in that sense it IS new, because that hasnât been done to death already.
How many of the TF2 cast is gay?
You donât know? Probably because it is irrelevant. And it is for Overwatch too, unless they build it properly into the story.
They havenât so far, what they have done is gone out to shock us achieving nothing else with the exercise.
Iâm sorry you feel triggered over learning a heroâs sexuality.
I mean everytime they reveal someone is straight do you think that too? And Im thinking this is hinting at the next event. They stated before the new event stuff will be current day stuff so this might be a new archive.
All of these story elements have a big influence on Overwatchâs story overall. If you donât know about Anaâs partner, you canât explain Fareeha, same with Torbjorn and Brigitte. If you remove Amelieâs relationship with Gerard, you canât explain how she became who she is. Donât want to defend any side, but if you remove Jack occasion, it doesnât affect story, only characters story and minus Gay 76.
So like, you were really mad when they revealed Ana used to date a guy named Sam, right?
It explains a lot about Jack, honestly - it shows he has civilians he cares for and wants to protect, that he put duty over his personal life to the detriment of his mental healthâŚ
Because the game appeals for sjws.
Precisely, when your âmost important elementsâ on certain mediums tend to focus on a few certain topics then it can be interpreted as such, Iâll give you an example with the Tracer situation, you remember what all the journos used as the cover for the reveal? well of course, it was Tracer and Emilyâs kiss which on itself was kind of on the nose for a lot of people, NOT because âew, icky LGBTâ but because the message could have been perfectly delivered without that one angle at all, for me it was only more subtle than the Korra x Asami reveal at the end of Legend of Korra and only because the later practically came out of nowhere.
As I said, it only affects S76âs story, not Overwatchâs story overall.
Heh, I remember the TF2 community being irritated by the suggestion that pyro is a girl.
I dont see people complaining when Torb was show with his wife. Relationships(straight or otherwise) are part of real life and a source of lore for characters. In fact amorous relationships have been a driving force of Video games since Mario stormed several castles to save Peach!
