Why do they hate zenyatta?

I mean I can’t teach you math at this level in a forum but here is the simplist way I can make you understand? Otherwise there isn’t much point in continuing the discussion with you.

The 25% healing reduction always cuts the same percentage (a quarter) of the total healing for all Supports, but the impact feels bigger on sustained healers like Lucio because they heal slowly over time. Here’s why:

  1. Burst Healers (like Ana):
Ana heals in big chunks quickly (70 HP per shot, reduced to 52.5 HP). Even with the reduction, she can still top someone off fast.

  2. Sustained Healers (like Lucio):
Lucio heals gradually (16 HP/s reduced to 12 HP/s). Because his healing is spread out over time, it takes him much longer to get someone back to full health.

The percentage loss is the same (25%), but burst healers don’t rely on long, drawn-out healing, so they feel the impact less than sustained healers, who need more time to catch up.

So, more “percent healing” (sustained output) doesn’t mean more loss in raw numbers—it just makes the reduction more noticeable because of how long it takes to recover.

Actually Ana just went up to 75 per shot didn’t she? Regardless she can do in one shot what now takes zenyatta a full 3 seconds to do basically. It’s about low healing hurting so much more from a buff like this.

It feels longer, but it’s proportionally identical

Just because it feels worse doesn’t mean it is worse

Okay you go ahead and have a nice day!

Most of Zen’s healing is in his ultimate. I do think they should increase the healing output of his healing orb, to account for the DPS passive change.

I totally agree, zen should have some buffed healing. Especially with the new health buffs that happened!

This is how I’ve used his Ult for a while now - speed up to the front line and try to act like a sponge
