I went 4-14 today, I probably should have just stopped playing, but I was having fun.
So, I’ve lost 500sr in a single week, I’ve gotten to 2800 twice this season, beating my all time high, I got placed at 2700.
But whenever I get a little higher, I go even lower, I’m sitting at 2200 and I’m probably done for this season, scared to play anymore frankly.
Personally, I feel I’m better than I’ve ever been at the game, my stats improve all the time, my sr doesn’t.

Win probability changes slowly with rank because there are so many random factors in each individual match. Unfortunately, it follows from this that frequent and long streaks will occur, and a player’s rank will oscillate widely. Essentially, a player will tend to bounce between the range of where he is nearly guaranteed to win and where he is nearly guaranteed to lose. The range varies from player to player, but +/- 250 SR/MMR is common and +/- 500 is possible. This problem can be analyzed in depth, mathematically (34).

Also, aside from causes outside your control, it is helpful to quit for a while / switch to a casual mode / switch accounts after a two losses to avoid tilt. And practice positive mental attitude as much as you practice aim.
