Why couldn't career average and PBSR be used for ranks?

Then enlighten me, dont just call someone crazy without any evidence, because that’s actually crazy. Here’s my evidence…

The post referenced by the user Kaawumba is probably the most comprehensive information we have on MMR, SR, PBSR. Though i will highlight the relevant part, feel free to read through it yourself.

So you see at the time back when it was a fresh new change people actually had sense to realize 55+ win ratios with no climb didn’t actually make statistical sense, nobody wanted it, even the lower tiers. Blizzard decided to remove it for Diamond and above (why remove a system if it worked?) and despite majority of people not wanting it blizzard kept it on anyways on the lower tiers only (the reasoning is it helps people who are out of their rank climb up faster, this is however a very small crowd, most players dont need this feature, and because it only guarantees there is potential error where there was none before most players wouldn’t benefit from this, and we’re right not to want it). Fast forward and nothing has changed except that all of a sudden the community has grown accustomed to a broken system and are actually convinced it works flawlessly despite it being statistically in correct and pretty obvious reasons its not trustworthy.

K, now your turn, prove to everyone you’re not the one who is actually crazy.
