Bc people keep walking into her LoS without pressuring her.

Hell how many games did i have where the whole team is crying about widow. :sweat_smile:
But anything that could be dangerous to her gets avoided and mccree, ashe, soldier, zen keeps played.
Aka: Winston? Miss me with that no aim no brain hero. Healing the player trying to dive widow? Why should I? Wth? XD

Just kill widow (everyone in team chat to the others)

Because the maps in Overwatch usually only have a few hard to reach locations where widows can be very secure, and heroes that block damage exist, along with heroes that can easily contest widow

Because her rifle power allows her to do that.
And because it’s balanced. Serious fire power comes at the cost of little to no defense.

You mean use their movement ability getting up close to her to begin with?

Bam, she escapes, relocates, and is basically gone by the time your movement ability recharges.

Hook Is an amazing escape tool. You win the 1v1 if someone tries to dive and since they use their cooldowns to reach you can escape with grapple easily or just walk off the high ground and they can’t do anything.

When she is scoped, she can’t jump. If she jumps, she isn’t scoped. So either bigger hitbox for more damage, or small hitbox but less damage. Seems fair

Not quite, but nice hyperbole. Her hook cooldown is twice as long as most dive cooldowns, so even if she escapes once, it won’t happen again

Missing the point here. When she jumps, she doesn’t do it to scope. She does to escape. With a hitbox like that it is impossible to prevent her escape, unless maybe you’ve got a stun prepared. (in which case, you don’t have a movement ability to reach and pursue her, unless you are, I dunno, Doomfist?)

Dive cooldowns you’ll be stuck waiting for, because you used them up getting up to her to begin with, while she has hooked herself away and escaped to parts unknown.

If you escape, then good for you. You aren’t supossed to die every time winston jumps at you.
But win the 1vs1? No, you have just lost your valuable spot. And you can’t just inmediately switch to the offensive, everyone’s cooldowns are faster than yours and most maps just won’t allow it.

And now she is out of position, you have done your job. If she makes a reappearance, repeat the process. Most dive characters also have ways to defend themselves until they can dive again
