as title suggests, please explain why we aren’t allowed to have a smurf thread shaming these sad pathetic no lifers with their battle tag? Just had the most toxic cretin masters tracer player in 2700 ELO match ,rank shaming ,rolfstomping and generally being a horrendous toxic douche.
Its against the rules many view it as cheating so surely a thread with their battle tags would make it easy for Blizzard to review their stats and go hmm yes this person is obviously a basement dwelling waste of human organs and take action accordingly.

Because no single person should be entitled to decide whether someone in the game cheats or smurfs. This can cause damage to the person. Blizzard handles this in a responsible manner. Once individuals from the community or streamers decide who is a cheater, it hits many innocent players.
If this person has violated a rule, you can report it.
What do you actually expect from publishing the name of a Smurf-Player?
Do you want the community to show up at this player’s home and ask some questions?
Looks to me like you didn’t understand the purpose of the game. I’m always happy when I see someone who plays well above his rank.

Sorry you don’t seem to understand , it was a level 30 Tracer at a 2700 SR match obviously way ,way ….way above the rank telling everyone he was a masters player mocking everyone, destroying our team rank shaming etc how can that be someone you could be happy for? like I mentioned obviously I don’t want someone to turn up to his house. However surely a black list of scumbags would make it easier to check up because it is a form of cheating otherwise why have a rank system in place at all?
What exactly would be easier for you if you knew there was a Smurf in the game before start of the match? He’d still be in the game. Maybe it wasn’t even a Smurf but a second account.
With level 25 you can start playing the competitive mode.
If he has mocked you and other players, you might be able to report him for absusive chat. Depends on what he said.
Publishing the Blizzard account names doesn’t help you at all.
But it wouldn’t take long until someone starts associating social media profiles with Blizzard account names. Each account should be treated completely independently from all other accounts.

I did report him for that, there was no doubt he was a smurf he was ridiculous. im saying why cant we post the names on the forum so Blizzard can deal with these halfwits

We should have a community check system. Would work well with replay system. Microsoft uses it and it works great.
bc it is the only shame for you being plat in 2k19 still…what are you doing there? Everyone becomes gm at least once to not struggle against smurfs while they are smurfing by themselves , and you still create this kind of topics? Smurfs? rly? WHen q time in gm is 60 minutes? C’mon!
The intended purpose of such a checksystem is the determining factor here.
Players with a larger fan base (e.g. streamers) would have more influence. I don’t think that’s good.
Fighting cheaters should always be the job of the developers.
I know a number of games in which such jobs were largely or completely left to the community.
Sometimes I personally was involved and had a vote regarding the evaluation of videos. I can only tell you from my experience that there are always players who don’t like another player and therefore want to accuse them of cheating.
There should be no imbalance in the community. No one should be allowed to decide anything.
I mean even if there is obvious evidence that the said person cheats, throws, breaks ToS, it isnt allowed to call them out. There are people who deserves to be. Blizzards fake safe space policy just kills the game from inside out.
Anyone can have your name. Saltyflaps doesnt have to be unique to you even though im sure no one else picked that one.
What would stop someone from making your same name being ultra rude in all their games and someone coming to the forums to complain about the other Saltyflaps?
No one should be able to use your name in a disparaging way just because someone else picked the same name as you, right?

Im in plat because my reactions suck im 41 im used to xbox so keyboard and mouse is a new skill for me and il never be good enough for masters let alone gm, im ok with that its like me starting a new acct and playing at bronze im 100% i would destroy at that rank but why would I do that?

Not help me but surely it would be a way of letting blizz know who all these tools are that find it fun to ruin games, if you could post the persons name battletag surely a glance at game stats vs how many games theyve lost (thrown) in a row could be acted on??
They know who has alt accounts. They dont need a list from you. And its not against rules to have them.
Im pretty sure throwing is against rules ,which is how smurfs get to gheir target ranks
But you dont know who is smurf and who is just alt acc user. So how do you want to do a list. You cant do list of throwers if you have information only from one game with them.
I am 33, and I peaked at 4k, I will do the same in 50, your reaction sux if you not trained enough or not a gamer at all.
you have no reasons to do that, you didn’t finish ladder yet, you have the way up still, your problem is you cant handle a smurf in your mid plat games - you need to play better than plat. But you know, as higher your rank rises, as less games you’re able to play, bc of q times. That’s why many ppl prefer to play at low elos atm.
plat q time for dps is around 7-15 min against gm’s+ 25-60 min
