Except people were in favor or Mass-Rez before the mega-thread existed. The fact that so many people felt that way is WHY the megathread came to be.

That argument makes no sense. If McGee is dead he can’t high noon. That apples to all heroes. All mercy needed to know to use mass Rez is how to count.

And Mercy could either Mass Rez or she could Tempo Rez. Not both.

And both inherently had risks.

McCree isn’t required to be the last man standing on his team to get max value out of his ult though. That makes things significantly easier cause he can tell everyone what time it is while in a Zarya bubble, or enveloped in DM, or behind a Rein Shield, etc.

Again, sombra needs to set it up (and survive) to get the most out of it. And it requires good communication with your team.

So you’re telling me that Mercy doesn’t need to set up all her allies dying within range (which is harder than you think), GAing to the point without getting shot, and then winning the second fight after the Rez?

Remember, Mass Rez doesn’t win a fight. It restarts it.

If your team is not entirely incompetent it is very unlikely the enemy will win 2 fights in a row.
Also, at the time I had a good amount of time on mercy and it is not at all hard to get in range.

There are several ults in the game that are… basically perfect for re wiping a freshly resurrected team. If an enemy with one of those ults thinks ahead… it’s childs play to win the second fight. The rezzed people won’t have time to respond to the… high noon, DVa bomb, Riptire, whatever before it goes off.

Other way around. If the enemy isn’t completely incompetent, they know to save Ults to bait out the Mercy Rez and then wipe the team that is immobile for 2 seconds while spawning.

I’d ask you to define “a good amount of time”, but “Die on point” disagrees with your argument anyway.

The entire reason that meme existed is because people would never die together and would run off to Narnia where Mercy couldn’t reach.

This is a discussion about the ult, not mercy’s entire old kit. The ult was too easy. From gold to gm.
Also, while mercy is the main target, you need to shoot other people or you’ll get destroyed. Rez was a very used and effective ult. It’s not uncommon for 3 non mercy’s to be dead in a losing team fight.

The devs aren’t balancing Mercy as well as they could be. But reposting pretty much the same idea over and over again for over a year straight isn’t helping either.

It’s just making the devs more cautious and slower to act than they otherwise would be.

The thing is you might have gotten a quad headshot or something like that, but the fact that you didn’t take care of Mercy is your fault, she should be your number one priority so she gets Rez slower than if she was constantly healing her allies and she wouldn’t be able to rez the team if you killed her beforehand.

Can you blame them though? Cause I can’t.

If you say something to someone and they either don’t respond or respond in a way that doesn’t seem like a response to what you said… what are you going to do? Well… basic human nature is to assume they either didn’t hear or didn’t understand… so… generally 1 of 2 things will happen.

  1. Restate the thing, but louder.
  2. Restate the thing, but in a slightly different, hopefully clearer way.

and… that’s what the Mercy players on the forums have been doing. It’s not going to stop until they actually feel like they’ve been heard.

Man, you just cannot stop with the backhanded remarks. The best solutions are the sometimes the simplest, that’s all.

Case in point: you suggested a nerf to 50 heals per second. It didn’t work.

Which is why I questioned you as to why you didn’t kill the Mercy when getting these kill streaks as your argument is that it is too easy to pull of. The thing is, you made it easy to pull of.

?? She’s a main healer. She’s always been a priority target. Also, what exactly is stopping your team from shooting other people? This sounds like you’re just making excuses for incompetence.

She was historically underpowered with it. Resurrect is powerful… In the right hands. It really isn’t as easy to pull of as you think it is. You have to consider a lot of factors before ressing and need to analyse the situation. In all honestly, you need to provide context before saying that her ultimate was easy to pull of since there are multiple different scenarios where this is simply not the case.

Numerical value is not maximum value. If you strive for just numerical value, your Resurrect will most likely be garbage.
