obviously.
he said one-tricks were the problem dude
Yea, IF i want to. I pretty much one trick Junkrat on PC. If someone chooses him I go Ana. There’s nothing wrong with that.
there is no hero in the game to where they directly counter the other person’s mechanics. If counters did exist, then all you would have to do win is just make a team comp that “counters” the enemy. There would be no skill involved since all the outcomes would pre-decided.
We’ve all seen where you are placed in a bizarre team comp but you still win. That is called skill.
Fl0W3R in the world cup was playing Widow on Hanamura up against a Genji, Winston, and Dva, all deemed by the community “counters” to widow, and yet SOuth Korea took that win.
When you place the word “counter” in your mind, you limit yourself to how skilled you can actually get with that certain hero.
So because the best widow in the world can beat genjis, one-tricking is ok for everyone?
Also, tell me that pharah doesn’t directly counter symmetra.
lul
Then learn another hero ,or swap to something that requires similar skills to your main ,or swap to something that requires extremely little skill.
Its an example to show that skill can outperform "counters."
One tricking is an option for everyone. You don’t have to follow with it you don’t want. Being a “Flex” doesn’t make you a better player. Being a one trick also doesn’t make you a better player.
Pharah yea if 1 v 1. But now you’re looking at the game way too one dimensional since Overwatch is way too dynamic to look at it at face value.
hehehe i laughed so much reading this posts, it’s hilarious
Yes, you may be good, but when your hero is not the good one regarding the map/the enemy comp/your comp, being good is … not enough.
All one tricking makes you is a one trick. That’s it. It has no bearing on how good you are with that hero, and it doesn’t mean you will be the best at that hero on your team. Just because you have a lot of time on it, doesn’t necessarily mean you’re good. What a silly argument.
They think they are good with those heroes.
Being a OT in the same rank as you probably does mean they are better than you. They are in the same rank range so it is fair to assume they are are about as good as the hero gets at that rank.
People who OT learn to counter their counters making them more viable agaisnt more team comps. I played a lot of doom and his “hard” counters are rarely a problem for me because I have learned to use his kit around the bits that counter me.
Im not saying that OTs are always better than non-OTs but statistically if they are both in the proper rank they are going to be more versatile on that hero.
Also the devs have specifically said that you should OT your way to diamond then its more of a team game.
Not all one-tricks are bad; just the ones who never swap when it’s not working.
If I get a god-sym one-trick on my team who carries I’ll be fine.
Why are you only blaming the one trick then? The same could be said with anyone else, dps tanks and supports.
Maybe the whole team is playing like trash. Or maybe the enemy team is more skilled.
But people who aren’t OTPs actually solve the problem when they suck by switching.
One tricking does not make you good at a hero. You’d be amazed at the amount of terrible one tricks in this game.
There’s nothing wrong with it except that it means you have zero reason to care about one trick players!
But by doing that aren’t you being a bit hypocritical? I mean you are feeding that bad attitude. Its up to you to be the bigger person and play what you teams need. There is never a time when you just Throw Period.
Because if one-tricks keep losing because of their teammates, hopefully they’ll eventually get stopped. Or banned. whichever comes first
You can’t ban someone for one Tricking! that’s something Jeff even mentioned! he wants you to play what you want Regardless if it QP or COMP. If you report people Claiming they onetrick while you Throw it YOU who should be banned. all your doing is feeding a bad attitude.
I’m not going to get banned. Deal with it.
Nah I’ve won a GM game with a 6 DPS comp before
