Why after 3 years of Dva I can't play Zarya?

Uh what?

:no_mouth:
Some more letters

I meant to say that Zarya is squishier than D.va. And out of position Zarya dies faster than D.va generally because of lower HP and her tanking ability (self bubble) has a lower uptime than Defense Matrix. D.va also has an escape ability which is now on 3 seconds. Not at all broken :slightly_smiling_face:

Do you disagree?

Yes. DVA demeches really quickly on my experience and requires godlike support on her *** to not to.

Every hero is appealing to play in some way but everyone prefers something more than the other. I am completely fine to sacrifice what I prefer if it is going to increase my chances to win.

In my experience so far, most people generally look at tank hero as ā€œin combination with other tankā€, how it works for the team setup and so on. I don’t know what is there to hate about Zarya. Good Zaryas are really nice to have in team.

I think for most heroes there is time to realize how to play it properly. For some it takes longer, for some it takes shorter time. Overall, it feels good when you find out.

Unlike others, I am not going to tell you DON’T FORCE IT. I am going to say it a little bit different that I am sure you will agree it’s a fair deal.

You don’t have to force playing with Zarya but you can always be persistent with her in quick play and see if you start to like it after like 20-30 matches.

Yes, this a really good point. About not forcing heroes. @Taurus, I stopped watching just before you guys engaged after losing point. But I remember correctly the enemy swapped to Ball, Dva and Pharah. This is a good example of where D.va would be much more valuable than Zarya. You could potentially farm energy off of Pharah, but I think you’d struggle to deal meaningful damage with the comp the enemy is running.

D.va has a better chance against Pharmercy and doesn’t do a half bad job att denying Hammond.

A bad D.va requires godlike support  With her 3 seconds flight and Defense Matrix she’s gotten harder to punish. But even a bad D.va will find a way to demech I guess. It depends on the level of play I guess. D.va might not be as linear as Zarya which makes it harder for low tier players to master her.

Most players are bad where I play.

I’ve more playtime on dva then any other character so feel your pain. I play mystery heroes probably too much so have a basic handle on most now but took a while. Still got D’va a couple of times tonight and I think she’s feeling awesome again.

ok i just saw the URL my bad

watched only until ur first death … u were fine overall vs a team playing into ur zarya … u just need to learn the matchups and some techs

but i wanna ask 1 question … HOW DARE YOU NOT GRAV AT 1:23 … JUST HOW COULD YOU :frowning: …

going for a lunch now then am gonna look at it again … i am not that great at overwatch but i learned this hero from silver to diamond …

They have fairly different playstyles. D.Va does a lot more diving and has much more mobility to escape if needed, while Zarya has less protective capability and self protection too. She makes up for this with her ridiculous DPS. What I did when I used to play her was use bubbles solely for charge (at the start of a fight like), get up to about 60% then melt everyone. You also want to play more closely to your main tank than D.Va would.

D.Va is fun, but she doesn’t really reach the satisfaction of absolutely melting everything at full charge for me. I guess if you don’t like Zarya then there’s no point in playing her. I only play like, 4 characters that I enjoy myself really.

u really need to git gud

You cant be good with every hero I love tracer but I am literally bad with her that I cant rank up with her. But sombra. Different story just because you like a hero doesnt mean they a natural fit for what type of gamer you are

WIP my man, I do my best

It is a very different play style. I usually play DPS but if I tank it’s zarya or hog for off tank (99% of my tank time) or occasionally Winston but I can’t play rein for the life of me.
