But refusing to heal is different. That’s basically screwing over your whole team if you’re playing healer and you outright refuse to heal your team.
“I’m going to go Moira and I’m NOT going to heal”. That doesn’t sound like poor play to me at all. That’s just refusing to heal and refusing to play the hero how they should be played. That’s the thing. If you are going to play as a healer, don’t try and go full-on DPS for the whole match because people will know you’re throwing if you do. OP said they’d pick Moira and not heal in order to act like a DPS as opposed to playing the game how it should be. I think that’s ridiculous.

If rolequeue comes about, and hopefully it wont, a player wont be able to play anothrr role, so this cant ever happen
on a more serious note, this conversation has been had before in regards to playing a hero a certain way.
it was when everyone was talking about the the 1 tricks getting banned for 1 tricking and blizz didnt really know how to act.
theyd probably not ban for dps moira or whatever.
if some dude syms into pharah or some other example around the same lines its basically the same.
unless your jumping off the map for 20 odd games in a row or something, they dont care.
Edit: i actually remember making a post saying i could pick the hardest counters hero for whatever the enemy team was picking, each game, to essentially throw, while mechanically trying… and they literally couldnt do anything to me for it.
and they banned for for trolling or something LUL poke holes in their logic around 1 tricks = trolling.

If you report a player based solely on a violation of what you want/prefer them to do, that is false reporting, and breaking the rules of the game, and makes the player who submitted the report eligible for a ban from the game

Competitive needs structure because it meant to be more. The only other way would be to make Competitive 6 Stack only. Like it originally was planned by blizzard until people complained (Seagull said that too). A professional football game or even Sunday football or the amateur leagues (soccer for Yankees) have a structure and rules you always follow. If they all queue for wrong roles then DPS queue would get faster anyway? You need some structure so if you don’t want 2/2/2 then 6 stack only is the only other option. I dont know if it will go the way you say so we would have to see- a lot of DPS players dont play other roles because they have no interest and if they bolted you would probably get faster DPS queues lul

If someone picks a healer and then doesn’t proceed to heal their teammates, that shows that they don’t want to win and that they want no part in playing the game properly. That counts as not helping out your team, and not helping out your team counts as throwing, which is reportable, and can get you punished.
If you play healer as dps because you didnt load in quick enough and youre gonna throw then you can enjoy your report for being a bad team player.

I have a diamond moira player added who only playes dps moira, they average better stats than most actual dps

Actually, I dont know about your games, but 2-2-2 has caught on down in the ranks. Only had one game that was a 4 DPS comp (lost).
I’d reccomend playing rank from 6-8PM CST, unless its just dumb luck that a majority of my matches are good around that time. Yeah, probably luck, but still.
