I do miss the soul, upgrade and armor mechanics. I would like to see some variant of that return. The olympus event had green shield pick up items which I thought were very neat. Would like to see more of that in the future (at least in other modes) and I hope its an option for the Workshop

Tracer being able to Blink around freely mid-emote was pretty funny. Still sad they removed it.

Yep. When I got my start, I thought Torb’s armor mechanic was neat. “I’m like the Engineer from TF2, but I make armor!”

Now, Torb’s just some guy with a turret. Thinking about it now, I wasn’t as disillusioned with Overwatch as I am now.

if i had to guess id assume they mean the 1.0 ability that was literally her just applying shield hp to people.

shield gen was i think sym 2.0 version of the weird shield ability she had at first. she didnt apply a barrier to anything until later

i remember all of it i started on launch day xD

i miss torb Lv 3 turret the most because it was so funny to use it right before the turret died, and just ruin some poor genji or tracers day.

something alot of people prolly dont remember was widow being able to bypass her charge and quick scope. i dont even remember how you did it, i just know you could quick scope people until they nerfed it (and cassidy’s FTH pre- season 1)

Damn that was before my time… I didn’t start playing until the first Holiday/Christmas event. I remember I first tried Mccree on King’s Row and just… yeah… hahahah basically explored all the tunnels not knowing what the heck was going on

oof you missed out on quickscope widow, tank busting mccree, 8 second dragonblade genji, 50% dmg discord zen.

oo you might of also missed out on hook 1.0, i dont remember when they did 2.0

the dragonblade wasnt even the worst part.

at the very very start, genji had a animation cancel combo that when combined with discord could kill a 200 hp target with body shots.

that combo actually got other animation cancels nerfed lol

and for a while, maybe even into that december i dont remember, you farmed ult VERY quickly. so you could built ult on any hero in like 30 seconds if you landed shots but a genji could deflect and get 100% of his ult in an instant if he deflected enough.

that carried over into season 2, after the original genji nerfs and they eventually global nerfed all ult charge
