Dva by a long way.

Anything that makes you successful, I guess?
I mean, Internet âcelebsâ such as Pewdiepie" make millions of dollars playing games online and being immature kids. There is an audience for that, so there is money to be made. If it works, it works.
Besides, apparently Dva is some sort of beacon of hope for her country since she actually fights off the omnics. If I understood her lore correctly, she was specifically chosen as a mecha pilot since she was a popular streamer. I suppose her joining the military and kicking omnic a*s was a means to inspire the Korean population. It sounds ridiculous, but bear in mind that Korea puts Esport teams on a pedestal. Even their national soccer team regards Starcraft players as way superior beings.
Yeah, the lore bit about her being a Starcraft pro has been retconned (which is ridiculous as it is, since it makes Dva the first OW character that actually has even LESS lore than what she has started with), but it still applies, I guess.
I have the theory that Dva in actuality isnât all that âcringyâ in private, and her âcringinessâ is merely a persona she dubs whenever she streams for the folks bakc home. But thatâs just me and until we get more lore on her, we may never know whatâs really up with her.
Apparently, two years into the game isnât enough time to flesh out charactersâŚ
D.Va. She literally doesnât even exist in lore: no background except for âehy Iâm a gamer girl now fighting for my countryâ, no animated shorts, no appearance in comics (except a single cameo last Christmas), no relations with other characters. She has only her voicelines, which arenât even canon. Sheâs the only one with that status (Zarya and Mei were the same before, but at least they got a comic and an animated short).
Moreover, she has silly and childish voicelines with an annoying voice, in both English and my mother language. At least in HOTS sheâs funny with a lot of joking about other heroes and meta-references, in OW sheâs just annoying.
If I have two characters I donât really like in personality case, Iâm gonna say Tracer and D.va
-For me, Tracer has some common points with many shonen protagonists. Incredibly enthusiast, naive and kinda happy-go-lucky to the point Itâs annoying. Plus, they tend to never give up on anything because they believe they do the right thing but It looks they donât understand Itâs not as simple as they thought.
-D.va is, in my eyes, the âhardcore girl gamerâ. Loving to taunt hers opponents, claiming sheâs the best, arrogant? and the fact all those âgirly stuffsâ (pink, rabbit, cat, cosplay,âŚ). Iâm not fan of those things.
Itâs not even funny how the HOTS team manages to do Dva far more justice than the OW team. Better voice lines, better character interactions. Heck, even her character works better in that game. She is an actual tank over there, not some character who suffers from an identity crisis since the devs canât figure out what to do with her.
Heck, Dva even appeared in a HOTS cinematic way before she even got an animated short for OW. Thatâs just sad. She gets more love in a crossover game than her actual game of origin.
Mei. I just canât stand the whole âItâs gonna be okay, happy, sunshineâ additude.
Pharah because⌠oh, wait, nevermind.
I wouldnât say worse, but Zarya personality is so hard to like. She is always mad, she is always teasing someone. She doesnât like nice omnics like Orisa and Zenyatta even when they are saying cool things to her. She has little to no connection with anyone on the game roster.
i also donât like Genji, sometimes he is a straight out bully. Junkrat is annoying, but at least he is funny. Besides them Iâm cool with everyone else.
Are you high? Hanzo has 10x more personality than most of the other heroes. I canât stand heroes like Genji and D.va who are so generic and predictable, they are literally just pure fan service characters with no well developed backstory or personality, same goes to heroes like Pharah and Mercy but to a slightly lesser extent.
Pharah has NO personality, so I therefore donât care about her. At all. Sheâs an annoying flying piece of cardboard for me to shoot down.
But honestly, I think I dislike Soldierâs personality the most. Heâs always saying nasty things to other characters that donât come off as fatherly to me. Theyâre just dickish. No one asked you, Jack. Tracer and Mei can take care of themselves and what the hell did McCree ever do to you other than work for Gabe?
reaper just sounds like way too much of an edge lord, I give him the gold medal for worst personality
D.va (if she counts) ,by a longshot.
She doesnât have any personality or character ,at all.
Sheâs just the stereotypical gamer and thatâs all there is to it ,she barely has any backstory at all.
also I know this is off-topic but if I could remove all of her voice-lines from the game ,I would ,she sounds obnoxious and is easily the most annoying character in this game (Voice-wise).
Tracer for me. Her character and gameplay are both so annoying itâs crazy. Brigitte is a gift from the gods of OW!
Is it bad to say that there isnât a single character in the roster so far I dislike in terms of personality? I think theyâre all adorable in their own way. I even thought Orisa was precious before she got a puppy.
destroys her as pharah
I dont think so.
Dva.
Sheâs the personification of waifu bait.
Sheâs 19 but talks like sheâs 10, she has the most annoying voice in video game history and her playstyle is incredibly obnoxious, constantly having a 20meters long projected barrier in your face half the game long. If sheâs not projecting the barrier, sheâll force her huge giant mech in your face with itâs never ending shotgun canons that never reload. But what pro gamer ever has to reload? right?
Oh, whatâs that? My mech is 0 hp?
Better press Q and get a new one. Oh! What? I killed 2 people in the process?
Caluclated! EL OH EL!
Junkrat. Heâs nothing but a dumb Goblin stereotype with the most annoying voice/looks ever. I hate him with a passion.
For me it is Mei.
From the outside she is always shy, cute and cheerful.
But from the inside she is a demon that slowy freezes people and impale them with icicle.
To be fair, itâs easy to dislike omnics once you just view them as machines.
Especially Orisa who acts like a stupid baby AI. Nothing Orisa does or says makes me warm up to her at all.
Zenyatta is a cool concept (robot monk), but his voice lines arenât particularly up my alley either. Admittedly, I am not one for âpeace on earthâ preachings, so that might have to add to that.
I personally am more on Torbâs and Zaryaâs side regarding omnics. Itâs cool that machines exist, but giving them rights and treating them as people? Never. Callme a racist/omnicist but never treat something you created as your equal, lest they someday enslave you instead.
Heck, if anything, one omnic crisis should have been enough to show humanity the dangers of equality between omnics and humans.
Reaper. Never trust people who canât dance.
And no, tapping your foot doesnât count!
