Excited to try the new map for sure
But I think the initial balance patch is gonna heavily impact how much I bother with season 3, at least for me. I swear if Sojourn isn’t actually dealt with and Orisa isn’t decently nerfed too then I just can’t be bothered to carry on playing against this mess 
I hope in turn they nerf Ramattra too - as I’m sure he’ll take Orisa’s spot…might be wrong though) and I hope Widow at the very least goes back to 175HP.
And hopefully there’s some other nice changes in there too

What nerfs to Ram are you hoping for? Personally, it’s just the ult that I dislike going up against. I don’t know if the mooted nerf to that is happening next patch or later down the road, though.

Oh yeah it’s the ult mainly that I want changed, but yeah, I’m not sure if that’s coming for season 3
But I dunno, just some small stuff I suppose to at least try keep him in check until then? Cause I get the feeling he’s gonna be the go to tank if Orisa is nerfed properly. And I’d rather them at least try and preemptively reign him in a tad until the ult rework.
Wait…increase his ultimate cost by quite a lot for one, I swear he can charge his ultimate so freakin quickly

Yeah adding currency is huge. I’m uncertain they’ll ever lower skins, because I think there’d be tons of backlash from people saying they were overcharged.
As far as themed skin though I mainly just mean skins like Medusa and Cyclops. It’s blatantly obvious that they put their highest quality skins in the Shop. Which males sense, but it’s kinda slimy.

Season 3 is going to be make-or-break for me.
I don’t care we’re not getting that much content but if the balance changes don’t go in the right direction I don’t see myself playing much longer.

It’s also at odds with how eager they seemingly are for seasons to have identities. Ah, yes, season two, the Greek mythology season with JQ Zeus, Ram Poseidon, and those other well-known deities Botanist Ana and 'Arry Pottah Tracer.

I am personally. Mostly because of the balance patch. Another hope that Soj vanishes for good and that they turn down Ana and Orisa again, now that Hog is gone.

Botanist Ana was such a bizarre one. It’s not even a bad skin, it’s just so out of place.
When I first saw the Tracer skin I really liked it, but honestly I’m liking it less everytime I see it.

Ramattra’s ult will be nerfed to have a max duration of “just” 20 seconds and the timer will slowly tick even when he’s dealing damage. It’s something but I guess it’s not enough. It’s the most broken ult in the game and free win in overtime.
I would definitely decrease the speed buff to 15% and make that thing end faster than 20 seconds.

Still not sure why there’s a cutoff point for map pools for season 3. Is their coding really that bad?

It’s not a coding issue, I can say that much based on my limited understanding.
I assume it’s something to do with the patch approval rigmarole that they have to go through for consoles. If that’s actually the case - and I’ve no idea if it is or not - I wish we could at least have map pools dumped for S3 for PC players. No hard feelings to consolers, but I don’t see why we should all suffer if we don’t have to.

Can’t really be excited when all the good stuff is going to cost $20 minimum still and anything outside of that will require a 40+ hour unpaid work week to even get anything free or otherwise. Most things are still the bare minimum, in fact, everything we’re getting is just things we were going to get anyways so it doesn’t even have any true meaning anymore.

I’m very excited. Love the new Mythic and tank balances changes look very promising. 7/20 changed to 5/15 is great as well.
