I’ll honestly never use the skin because goats forever, but I’d do it to support streamers.

Oh, for sure the criticisms were justified. As are those of this event.
However, one must admit that enlisting such hostile figures is an odd choice when it comes to a marketing tactic which is being, well, marketed, as a community support type of deal. Not to mention it isn’t Blizzard thanking the streamers, as it’s the player base funding the whole event.

As far as viewer longevity and retention from events, historically it has been poor-to-none. People will just gift to those they would have gifted to regardless, and not much will change in that regard.

At the end of the day, I’m not here to change minds. My reasons are my own, and yours yours.

I’m a blizzard entertainment blizzcon media specialist I beta tested StarCraft and StarCraft wings of liberty. I’ve played every blizzard game known to man but I will certainly not give 15 dollar’s of my hard earned money :heavy_dollar_sign: :moneybag: to a twitch Amazon ,tik tok , Facebook or YouTube streamer at all if it means of corruption. I could easily buy get 2 loot boxes off of blizzard website that contains other stuff too for the same amount of cash to 1 streamer who I don’t know personally and a complete stranger. And that’s all it takes folks. No bellyaching about monetization, streamers, profits, skin tastes, whatever. Just say no and be done with it.

I was going too until i found out i cant even use it till ow2 since im a console player.

As an extremely dedicated and loyal fan of Brig, who–excluding OWL team color epics–has every Brig skin released to date, I will not be getting it, myself. And this is a decision I’ve made with confidence.

The idea of a Brig skin as a reward for giving money to streamers (a notable number of whom have treated her and her players in a less-than-civil manner) just doesn’t sit well with me.
