Whatever just support smal streamers :+1::+1:

I Hope we dont get anything like that in future.
Im ok with donation for charity but this is kinda suspicious.

It’s not acceptable. It’s a poor excuse. This whole thing was very mean spirited and showed huge carelessness.

And they are what we suppouste to support the smal streamers.

Its like main gole of devs was focus on big streamers and kill the smoller… Shame blizz… Shame… Shame… Shame…

Excuses, excuses and more excuses…
The whole thing is sooo transparent.

Nah, never cared for skins.

No kidding but every day I’m losing more and more hope on blizzard

If the skin was good I might be tempted to. But it’s kinda meh. The most I’d pay is one gifted sub and that’s pushing it.

Apparently they ain’t making any money from it, but we’re still paying those streamers for their advertisement though, but yeah, same I lose hope for them, it’s seems ever since they announced F2P they have been trying to milk us

I’m not getting it, because I don’t like the skin… But your reasons seem weak.

These streamers have promoted the game for blizzard for years, which as much as a thanks from blizzard in the past. Now they are finally doing something to thank them. So fair play to them.

It’s a big fat No from me.

I will be getting it for sure. I already sub to multiple OW streamers (Seagull, ML7, Emongg), so I will definitely be looking to support some of the lesser known streamers with these donated subs.

That said, people vastly overestimate how lucrative streaming is. They see people like Asmon and Trainwreck with more money then they can spend and forget those guys are the outliers. The streamers people think are successful are often only making as much as your average lower middle class person would make, once you take into consideration the hours they put in, along with business expenses like paying video editors for YouTube content, etc.

Weak to you, sure, but my reasons are my own.

Quite a few names on the streamer list have actively disparaged the game and/or company, or outright never played in any major degree outside of events like these. If this were really a show of thanks by Blizzard —which is itself a subjectively needed thing—why not pay it themselves, or do a view event, like in the past? Why not support every streamer, or even just the dedicated small timers who could have used this as a launch point? There are many, less divisive, ways to show thanks to the streamer community.

In the end, this is just marketing, expected to be financed by the player base, as Andy himself stated.

Pretty conflicted.

On one side it’s two thin… THREE things I absolutely love. Overwatch, Brigitte, and SC.

On the other it’s bad precedent and annoying, potentially won’t work, potentially throwing money at something that I could soon not be playing anymore, and FOMO BS.

… I guess I have a few days to reconcile this one way or the other.

Not only will I get it, I will also literally burn a 20 dollar bill just to be a complete tool.

Criticising the company for their behaviour is justified.

Criticising Team 4 for not delivering on the promise OW1 had is justified.

Not playing the game much in the past isn’t a reason not to help them out as a thank you for promoting OW2

Of course it is just marketing. And it’ll work for all parties. The streamers get more views and more subs. Blizz get more eyes on OW2 and more people signing up to the beta.

Count me in, I’ll gift 3 Subs for Yuuie, who kind of looks like Brigitte, by the way.

I will have to see who I’m currently prime subbed to, I keep rotating between streamers each month, but plan to gift some subs.

Honestly, just support the streamer you all like, simple as that.
