that feels like a more map dependent question to be honest. considering the terrain would be different across maps.

The skin doesn’t really matter as enemies will only be able to see the teeth of the trap sticking out anyways.
Though putting traps in darker areas is a good way to make them less visible

I saw a trap with flames coming out that was very visible
