Actually just click the discord link in that post
I used to have a very low opinion of Junkrat, but then i met Toast and he changed my mind.
Genji mains are the worst, they have the mental of a 5 year old
Yep. Toast is the pre-breakdown RichC of Junkrat mains.
Genji mains, and it’s not even close.
Genji mains are some of the most entitled I’ve ever seen. Whenever he’s a must-pick, they pretend he’s not that good. Or say that he “deserves it” because he’s “hard to play”. When he gets even the smallest nerf, they act like he’s ruined and completely unviable even if the nerf barely has an affect on his pickrate at the top level. They have the attitude that because they picked a “harder” character that nobody should ever be able to 1v1 them, as if games are won at the character select screen.
In distant second, I’d have to say hitscan (particular, Cass, Widow and Soldier) mains. They have almost the same problems as Genji players, but they don’t recognize that what usually makes their character unviable is another hitscan. (For example, if Cassidy is viable, that usually means Ashe and Soldier aren’t. If Ashe or Widow are dominant, that usually means other hitscan are obsolete. Maybe we could throw Sojourn into this, but she’s never had a long enough period of being dogwater to see how her players act.
In-game, Lucio mains.
On the forums, Genji mains without a doubt.
in my experience, genji mains are by many orders of magnitude the worst people in this game
Sombra mains. Always active invisibility is inexcusable shenanigans. They should have left it button activated and reduced it to 20 or 30 sec of uptime. Or make her have to crouch to become invisible.
I have a few I’m not fond of. Observations playing on EU:
D.Va - NEVER switch.
Widow - Always condescending, sarcastic, aggressive.
Genji/Pharah - Mic screamers demanding people bend over backwards to facilitate their play, and their play only.
Mercy - Ultra-sassy about practically everything.
Lucio - usually care the least about anything. Just out here existing and skating on walls.
Zen - “I didn’t have the patience to wait in dps queue”. Often forget to use heal orb, or putting orb on someone when they’re already critical. First to get blamed because of their low healing, usually gets aggressive back and goes on about outdamaging the dps.
I hate Sombra mains so much it’s unreal.
Sombra isn’t ‘OP’ in the traditional sense, but her invisibility gives her such an outrageous advantage that it’s simply scummy to play her. It’s a damn shame, because she could be such a cool character if her invisibility were changed to cloaking/camouflage instead. She sucks, no matter whose team she’s on. Either she shames her team by playing with us, or she makes us angry by getting a bunch of free kills while invisible.
I’m cool with literally any other main. There are several low-effort, high-yield heroes (Moira and Mercy are the two obvious ones), but they can easily be demolished if you try, so I respect them. Sometimes you just want to play an easy hero after a rough day. No biggie. It’s only lame if you also play the hero who is INVISIBLE in a TEAM SHOOTER GAME. WHAT ARE YOU THINKING? WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS?
Everyone I know IRL thinks Sombra mains are scummy. Most people I know IRL refuse to play her because it’s embarrassing and feels morally ‘wrong’. It’s a team shooter game. Play fair. Turn off the perma-invisibility, you stinky coward.
I imagine Sombra mains were the type of kids who pulled up “invincibility shields” and insane spur-of-the-moment rules (in their own favour) when they play-fought with their friends as kids.
For me… Hmm…
Tank:
Probably Zarya? Most tanks I’ve met are alright, and I’m usually the tank so I don’t get the opportunity to talk to many in comms. Zarya mains though tend to be a bit more “oh my god you suck” than others… I’ve seen quite a bit of Dooms going “supps?” When he’s out of LOS and everyone else is fighting for their lives, and I’ve had more Dooms than other tanks type “EZ” in chat after a stomp…
DPS:
Hanzo. Hanzo hands down. I understand that they butchered his one shot, but I have a serious dislike for them when they go “muh heals! Muh healz! Y’all suck! I can’t aim and you aren’t pocketing me!” I find that Hanzos do this far more than others, and also tend to have the BIGGEST egos. (yes, I am salty about that game on Havana yesterday)
Supp:
I haven’t met a lot of truly toxic supp players (either that, or I have and forgot because they don’t mean anything) but I typically get frustrated when we have a Kiriko, because they tend to never ever ever ever use Suzu for the i-frames and always always always mess it up and then blame me for not protecting them when they were teleported into the enemy’s backline like an IDIOT
“very rarely see anyone playing Junkrat”
LONG may that continue!
The one that think they are better then anyone in the team but have done less then everyone else while spamming “I need healing” constantly when they across the map.
Those are the mains I dont like
In the Tank role, I think D.Va players tend to be the worst.
- Most often, they don’t even know how her kit is supposed to work, and they think D.Va has the ability to just roll over any enemy they choose.
- They RARELY use her DM to protect their teammates, especially during big plays (for example, covering her Soldier while he ults or peeling for Supports) and a lot of them don’t even make an effort to use it when they hear an enemy Ult (“Oh is Soldier/Reaper/Cassidy ulting? Not MY problem!”)
- They try to play Baby Dva like an angry chihuahua and go for memey suicidal re-mech kills.
- Tend to come in two flavors: “My Mech is Expendable”, where they just feed into the enemy Tank until they get de-meched, and then complain that they’re not getting healed despite having a billion damage and 0 kills…or the extreme opposite…where they play “Sniper Dva” who never wants to risk losing the mech ever by shooting from 30 meters out and only doing like 20 damage per second while their DPS do the real damage. Then, when someone complains they just point to all the “Elims” they got from tickle damage.
- They only get ONE good 5K Ult while whiffing the rest or using it strictly to remech, but feel accomplished because they got POTG.
I love Dva as a design and as a character…but good god are the bad ones a disease to play with.
I forgot about d.va mains! Yeah. No that makes sense. They also WANT to make you throw yourself off a cliff
Doomfist mains;
They either play alone or they get so good it seems they can take over the latency of the game server.
I also never what to pick to help a Doomfist Main on my team (as a supp) as I’d feel unprotected or just uselessly running after him.
What do you expect bomb to do exactly???
The complaint isn’t about bomb itself, but moreso the attitude of the D.Va player.
For example, a perfectly acceptable play is to use the bomb to clear space either for your team to push aggressively or to force the enemy team to back off, but bad D.Va players don’t get that. They go for POTG every single time, and usually fail.
If the Doom needs help disrupting plays or making space, go either Ana or Lifeweaver to keep him healed and bail him out with grenade/grip if he gets in trouble. If he’s fine with survival but struggling to get kills, then going Zen, Ana or Kiriko is a good idea. They can all follow up on his damage, and Kiri/Ana have Ults that can turn him into a terminator for a short time.
Right because this is what happens when I throw dva bomb…. This never happens.
Oh you mean throw it and immediately die as they run into my team? Or throw it and watch everyone just move slightly out of the way and then resume to exactly what they were doing?
Dva bomb just sucks. Don’t blame the players for that one. Other complaints are valid though and proof that dva isn’t as easy as everyone thinks.
