as you proceed to list events and completely disregard the others I mentioned that were also well received? Halloween events have been amazing and introduced tons of new things both to PvP and PvE.
Also just because you don’t like a mode doesn’t mean others don’t enjoy it…this also doesn’t take away that they are adding event modes which is what I am saying. Whether you like them or not we are getting new modes. I hate summer games modes but does that mean that I should completely disregard that they have just factually added a new mode to the event? No, as that would just be absurd.
So these are essentially just one and the same thing, sit and shoot on the same maps for a long time. The newer modes, not all, have more things going on in them compared to the older events where it’s just plain and simple. Not all new events are great of course, but there is more to do and interact with and newer mechanics have been introduced to them.
Release an Archives event today that is just like OW1 Archives and I guarantee you people would complain about how simple and boring it is. I mean we could just compare Archives to the OW2 PvE actually, look at how VASTLY more interesting and more fun it is to play on compared to the Archives missions. This is how it is to me when people compare new events to OW1 events, they just are completely different things but OW2 adds a plethora of new gameplay variety to the enemies and storytelling.
I get that PvE was binned but that was ultimately something I think that was out of the teams control. Honestly it was a bad time for Blizz overall so there are a lot of underlying or unknown reasons as to why exactly it had to be chopped other than money. I hope we get it back with the recent pickup the game has been receiving though, have to stay positive even though it sucks, which is why I try to enjoy the newer events instead of nitpicking reasons as to why they are bad.
