Oh boy, you’re really out of the loop. They said maybe a year ago, maybe even before that, that the OW2 update was going to remove the assault mode (2CP) from rotation in quickplay and competitive.
The maps and gamemode still exists and will sometimes appear in the arcade, as it did yesterday, as well as being available for custom gamemodes.
