When there’s a fat Hog to farm
Tracer is not that good if the rest of the team doesnt create enough pressure, or if they cant take advantage of the distraction she provides. She s not easy to get value at all.
And if supports dont pick Zen or Brig, Tracer will have a lot of down time going for healthpacks.
Ana’s in the back getting hard pocketed and you can’t get a clear shot on her. In that situation, Ana and any second support can sustain their team enough to where you can’t shoot them thanks to the tanks. In this situation, going Tracer to slip behind is smart.
Any hero’s OP when played right. I’d argue Roadhog is more unkillable than tracer when played “right” just because he can heal on demand.
If I was aimbotting I would just play Tracer cuz you can just kill people in 9 bullets to the head and she shoots 40 per second.
why would i play arguably the best DPS in the game’s history when i can play some pretty good heroes?

Almost everywhere. Shes really playable almost everywhere but there are definitely maps in which its harder to pull and/or takes longer time to set-up, and then it also depends on team comp and if the team follows up. Usually on maps where they’re highground heavy and it takes a lot for me to get a good position, I’ll play tracer if theres a diver MT with me (ball or monkey) so I know the setup is worth if executed right.
In very open space maps like Junker and Havana I generally prefer to play longer ranges.
Answer: all the time. Why? Because even though I suck at gaming in general, I just love to play Tracer. She’s just so much fun compared to dishing out mid range poke.
(But every time I pick up Ashe, even though I hardly know her abilitities, I’m instantly twice as valuable to my team 
)
It’s also really stupid her pulse bomb disappears in the air if you get stunned.
If you’re me, never. My internet ensures I always blink erratically and my pulse bombs never land where I originally dropped them

that’s very subjective i guess. the solo-queue QP experience with her is not good at all.
Playing tracer well is more satisfying than playing those heroes well.
There’s a lot of fun and thrill in moving around in danger zone and come out alive with bags of support’s heads.
she is meant for high ranks, if you are soloing qp then you can pick someone else

lol that is poor game design if you’re only ‘supposed’ to play a hero at a certain rank.
Because your tanks are playing Dive.
Nothing more annoying than having some S76/Ashe/Cree OTP who force them into traditional Dive Comps and maps, and can’t do a thing with the space you make on tank.
Tracer isn’t the same niche has S76, Ashe, and Cree, she’s a flanker, and as such she should be getting compared to Genji, Doomfist, Sombra, and Reaper.
When she’s stacked up against those heroes, she is less demanding of team resources, can work more independently for picks, has better “peelability” for allies, and more survivability.

Play the hero that fits what you are doing
in 4.3+ when ur tanks are good
other then that just play those heroes lol
