This character is an absolute joke in comp, having an absorb that eats just about anything (goodbye DVA) and an ult that does way too much damage given its easy setup.
Title says it all, what are they planning to do about this?

I think he needs a buff but there is a nerf on the PTR right now.

They don’t need to do anything about it because he’s not in need of a nerf.
He’s not as unstoppable as you seem to think. He’s easily countered by Zarya, Symmetra, Mei, even Rein.
His absorb only eats projectiles and only those in front of him.
And his ult is easily survivable thanks to the likes of Zarya, Baptiste, Lucio, and Ana.
He’s fine the way he is. We don’t need another Brigitte-like travesty on our hands.
You forgot 2 more items - one a slight buff and another slight nerf:
Accretion
- Explosion damage increased from 50 to 60
Gravitic Flux
- Intro cast time increased from 0.4 seconds to 0.6

FOTM balancing. working as intended. 
Comparing Kinetic Grasp to DM tells me you have no idea how the ability works. Sure they both can absorb hits, but they have totally different applications.
