i think that the problem with the other tanks is that they are very good against x thing and very bad against other things. then they are too strong with no counters on the enemy team and they are troll picks when the enemy decide to pick counters… is really bored to play and play against.
Just play Zen + LW. Orisa will switch eventually.

AT least when she had to reload she had to retreat, but now its just non stop gunfire, her CDs are short too. She needed nerf back in S1.

i think the bigger issue is just orisa’s design
like in terms of numbers and balance and stuff, she really isn’t that broken, she just outclasses every other tank because she’s unkillable, does near constant damage, has very powerful cc, and the ability to delete projectiles
Mauga, Zarya, and Orisa, all of which have been hard meta for the longest amounts of time boil down to just sitting there, hurling out damage
What tips orisa over the edge most of the time is fortify, the ability to just ignore all cc while also becoming a brick wall is just frustrating and silly, and while its not really that op, whenever the meta allows for it, it flourishes
A lot of the tanks need to be looked at and reworked, tanks should not be “hold m1” simulator, I mean mauga is sincerely one of the worst designed characters in the history of the game
and lowkey, I don’t blame orisa, when you take like actual thousands of damage in the space of a few seconds, it makes sense! and that’s also why most tanks are unplayable, they just EXPLODE
changing health numbers never fixed this, what needed to happen was for damage to just get brought down across the board (and somehow people still think the game doesnt feel fast enough)
Tank is just a role that got disrespected and abused by the devs , and while it has some of the most fun and unique characters , most of them simply can’t see realistic play and it SUCKSSSSSS
Orisa is a fun tank because she can cancel all the stuff that makes tank annoying.
High burst? Fortify gives dmg reduction and can’t be crit
CC? No problem. You are CC immune during fortify.
Long range Hitscan an issue? You have no dmg fall off.

yeeeeeah. You could argue that it depends on the map, other characters are better but damn, she is the safest option for everything. Annoyingly easy to play and hard to counter
just give FORTIFY proper downsides/tradeoff during/after the ability usage.
speed penalties, no critical penalties, fixed rate of positive and negative regeneration modifiers, fortify OR javelin but not both, anchor her four legs to the activation spot, there are so many possibilities.
Except she is incredibly boring to play because all you do is spam your attack and chuck your spear and you basically just existing in the game. Once she gets nerfed people will swap to Mauga and Hog which again is just more of the same. If you were to ask me the biggest problem with tanking, aside from exploding and counterpicking, it is that right now the most dominant tanks are the most boring ones.

They literally just have to make her head in golden form prone to headshots and it’s fixed.

I am a Zarya main and sometimes I need to play Orisa (I hate playing Orisa). Even if I am not as good using Orisa with all her cooldowns I don’t get bursted down so fast.

I’m watching a lot of Cyx, Emongg, and a couple of DPS streamers. These guys are GM and Champion. They are complaining A LOT about Orisa in their games. The exact same complaints as Gold players - braindead kit, too hard to kill, can stand in the open and still live on. Compared to the tanks they want to play that have to use cover and much more carefully manage their CDs, it gets very frustrating.
So if you think only Gold are complaining, you are very, very wrong. And if you mean to belittle people for being a lower rank than you, go belittle the Champion players who have exactly the same complaints about her.

You are not exposing truth, you are exposing your OPINION. That is not truth. Just like myself and everyone else is giving their opinion. Most people on here seem to not share your opinion. It doesn’t make you wrong, but it makes your opinion less popular among people playing the game.
Orisa is a problem in my opinion. Orisa is a problem in the opinion of most of the people that comment about her. You are welcome to your opinion, but it is not truth (and in my opinion it is wrong).
And I am playing - DPS. I have played tank since I started OW until just over a week ago when I finally gave up on tank mostly because I am just sick and tired of Orisa. I will continue to play, but until Orisa is “fixed” to not be in most games, I’ll be on DPS instead.
