Whats the point of a PTR or Experimental

Plus even big companies like Valve do a hell of alot better with their balance, and yet has so many factors that could influence balance:

A: Multiple Classes

B: over 100 Weapons

C: No Restrictions in regards to maps/roles, in fact, they actually LET you pick the maps you want.

D: Matchmaking is less than 5 minutes usually.

E: They’ve actually been dealing with cheaters better.

F: Smurfs aren’t even a problem.

And yet, Blizzard has to restrict players, remove uniqueness of characters, make the matchmaking take well over 15 minutes, and there has been smurfing issues constantly, because the matchmaking isn’t good at all. Like i don’t see how worse Blizzard does than Valve until i literally point it out.

One can listen to feedback without agreeing. Just because they did not act on what you said does not mean you were not heard.

The problem was that the Brigitte changes were constantly being said that they were not the right changes for her either, yet they went through with it.

Which is an example of listening without agreeing. I am sure they saw that feedback but decided against it.

I still don’t understand why they had to go the lazy route though, they had so many options for making armor weaker without actually removing it.

A: Armor Scaling.

B: Make it so there is a timer on when you can throw Repair Packs for armor.

C: The armor timer isn’t affected by constant Repair Packs.

D: Reduce Temp Armor reduction down to -3.

Like really, they’ve could’ve gone many routes instead of just lazily gutting it, now Brig’s going to be more boring because they couldn’t look at the options they had, and the shield changes nobody really wanted either because it was just a flat nerf to her already crippled survivability.

PTR and Experimental do exactly what they want it to do:

Collect Data

I think this is the core issue. It isn’t that people feel unheard. It is more that the dev team have not explained the overarching goal of what they are trying to accomplish. If they shared this with us perhaps it would be easier to understand.

“They didn’t listen to my feedback, therefore, they aren’t listening to feedback.”

Its so strange that some on these forums truly believe their opinion/feedback is the only one that’s given to Blizzard.
