I’m interested… for me, I main Moira. The biggest misconception about Moira is that she takes 0 skill, but there’s obviously a skill gap for every hero.
I’m especially interested in the Doomfist/Genji mains…

That D.Va is OP…She has one of the biggest critboxes in the game and is one of the least tanky Tanks, with plenty of hard counters.
Also that Mercy lacks skill. Sure, her skill ceiling is lower than some heroes, but there is a big difference between a good and a bad Mercy.

Well of course, technically 0 skill would mean that you’d get value by not touching your keyboard/mouse/controller. So yeah, no hero takes 0 skill. However, Moira IS one of the easiest heroes (if not the easiest) to play in this game, especially at the lower levels of play.
For my own main… well, I don’t main anyone, but one of my favorite heroes is Sombra: the misconception that hack no longer allows you to play (you saw daily threads complaining about this back when Sombra saw some play in the OWL). You can do more than just spamming your abilities, you know…

Mercy mains can’t play aim intensive heroes.
The difference between my support and DPS might be two ranks but I can still play McCree, Ashe and Soldier just fine so

Technically, yes. No one plays him, because he is banned from comp this week. Outside of comp however, Sigma is playable in the game sense not like how people interpret it balance wise.

Sym main:
oh my. Where do I BEGIN? in no particular order:
- “no aim no brain”: right cause primary and orbs magically home in on the enemy
not to mention making up for all the delays in sym’s kit definitely takes less forethought than the various reactive abilities that everyone else has
- “just w+m1” or “sym is a shield breaker”: her primary is one of the most situational primary fires in the game in which sym herself doesn’t have the tools in her kit to support it. by the time you get team pocketed into range, your team’s barrier’s probably wiped out before theirs or you probably have already died. like it took an unnerfed DOUBLE barrier meta for her primary to actually get prevalence for VARIOUS reasons, NONE of which are a bug fix to make sym’s 1st tick of damage after missing do full prescribed damage.
- “tp is just team utility only” or "infinite tp is better than non-infinite tp"or “infinite tp is better for the team”: read the below reddit thread
- “spawn tp are so valuable/OP”: cripple 1 hero for team fight(s) long amounts of time just so teammate(s) can spend like 1s or so of using it if they just so happen to die while also having long amounts of time where tp is collecting dust because everyone is alive and away from spawn most of the time…
- “using tp to duel is cheap”: and mcDoubleTap, blink-recall-cer, cryo-mei, deflect-ji, wraith-per, OHKO-maker, OHKO-zo, etc. which have might higher value potential with less hoops to jump through aren’t cheap?

Yeah, it sucks when your team doesn’t notice the care you put into protecting them and that one time you didn’t is the one they latched on to.
I play Sigma so it’s not one for one but I try to block hooks and every time my shield is cracking I die on the inside because I might not have shield for the next hook because the last thing I want is for my teammate to be hooked and die. It makes me sad to know someone on your team doesn’t understand how it saddens a tank when someone dies and by then it’s too late and you need to move on.

Oh boy, where do I begin?
Because I play Mercy:
- I have no brain
- can’t aim
- won’t ever swap
- People assume I’m boosted even if I solo queue.
- People think I can’t play other supports to the same level of skill.
- Damage boost somebody too much = my ‘boyfriend’.
- Mercy mains are always girls or ‘e-girls’.
- People boast she’s ‘easy’ to climb with
- stereotype of Mercy players being whiny/entitled.
- People think the entire mercy community wants mass rez or Moth meta back.
I could go on for days.

Yeah that’s the pretty much the main one, this idea that the shield is for the team at all times and should be held up in the middle of the street for the entire game.
Where the truth is the shield is mostly a bonus and one should be positioned correctly as if it wasn’t even there in most cases.
It why Jayne not being on twitch doing VOD review content to thousands of viewers has sort of hurt the learning curve for lower SR players.
Being he would 100% stop VOD reviews and correct the “Rein shield!!” stuff when the player saying it was like an Ana standing in the middle of CP A on King’s Row.
I also like the misconception that every shatter should land, every shatter should be blocked and shatters into a shield are the result if you just shattering into a shield. No, the other Rein thought he had a timing issue or took the fake fire strike bait etc.
I mean we can see the huge shield too, we know it’s there, no Rein is like oh wait I did not see the shield when I shattered!!!

Not to mention the shield nerfs so its not so much a protection shield like it was before or at least could be used like that. But more so, get closer to the enemies and start brawling.

There aren’t many popular misconceptions about Genji. There are people who think spamming double jump and right-click is “playing Genji,” but nobody with sense actually believes that. It’s just spiteful bitterness because Genji mains tend to be arrogant.
That Baptiste isn’t a main Support, Usually people who say this don’t know how to use there burst heal, and try and try and use Amp matrix to do damage instead of amplifying there healing out put. Baptiste ability to heal shines when things are able to be done. Also immortality field is a thing people tend to dps with a lot, your suppose to use Immortality, Burst heal and heal your team so they can stay alive past major damage.
