It’s the same as “Don’t push the payload / don’t push the robot” when it’s overtime and the defending team is running from spawn to contest.
If the team who attacks keep pushing the payload / robot, it helps the enemy team to contest (as the thingy gets closer to their spawn).
Does it mean we should delete both Escort and Push … because it’s not optimal gameplay ?
See my example above for Escort and Push. My point being, when it comes to tactics, there are many features that go against the goal of the game mode’s standard way to win, as each scenario is different in every single match.
Well, to be fair, when they release a new map, it’s heavily over-analyzed / boycotted by the community so of course we’re gonna end up with only 1-2 maps to certains new game modes released since 2022 (if we every time we release two, we delete one)…
Only Escort / Hybrid and somewhat KOTH are safe 'cause they are game modes from 2016… When I tell you the real issue is the OW community’s behavior / attitude since the game creation, I ain’t kidding.
I’ve witnessed it all for years and juding by the amount of posts you have, you probably must have witnessed it all the same.
That being said, I agree with you that if they overflow us with new maps, toxic OW players and forum posters won’t be able to scrutinize every single detail of a new map, if there are 4-5 (or more) released at the same time.
Not sure, it will happen, though, as I’m not even sure they have that (small) amount of content in store for 2025.
