I’m taking a near permanent break from OW, been playing Destiny 2 and Hearthstone.
Quitting all Blizzard games is a little harder to happen, because Hearthstone is still fun, WoW has good old content, but the new one sucks, that’s why I stopped playing for a bit (and class balance).
They more or less already did.
Hearthstone I slowly weeded out after they added the ‘‘only last 2 sets of cards are usable’’ which was the laziest most blatant try of milking money I was actually shocked, especially considering how often the new exansions kept coming after, this ofc allowed them to be even more lazy with balance cause hey new event out, no need to deal with the old cards no more.
Hots lost me when the mass support patch hit (nerfing all supports cause watching double support comps is not fun), and nailed the coffin with the changes to specialists/siege, along with some bizzare balancing decisions.
Overwatch in the process of weeding out. Unless something massive happens it will stay there for a while (its useful when I feel like playing some short matches of something), it started about at the time of the whole Mercy rework fiasco (which made me lose any sort of faith in blizz tbh, because I honestly really dont understand how you can make a hero so broken and not realize it, and let it drag for so long on top of that, AND make jokes about it, when you took a hero that already struggled in the community and made the hero and their mains struggle and get abused even more, and then make jokes about it?) unfortunately that was the time when a lot of dps buffs started happening, spamzo happened, and doom brig stun boop meta was a thing. I think me and my friends barely played the game then, and it never recovered.
I think you meant to say start doing that (or you are one of those people who don’t care about reality but I will assume simple syntax error).
quit Overwatch ?? make it F2P … i would uninstall it as soon as i heard that. TBH, im only here in OW until the next FPS comes out, hopefully that is UT4 or something similar that isnt a battle royale (those are just dumb. i enjoy team based games …)
quit Blizzard ?? probably wont. i enjoy Starcraft and SC2 and still play D3 almost daily.
I may be playing the Devil’s advocate here, but that’s so wrong. The monetization model of Hearthstone has been almost the same since the start, with slight changes and none of those are all that impactful.
The release schedule actually got diminished, but with overall more cards, from a 2-2 distribution between full expansions and adventures, now there are only 3 expansions, with over 150 cards on each.
If you see every single meaningful card game out there that has been around for a while, this set rotation also happens, this is mandatory for a decent card game to survive.
Your statement of not caring about old cards is also wrong, yes wild was made to be somewhat broken, but cards such as Naga Seawitch and Aviana got nerfed because of Wild, not Standard, because they created extremely one sided matches.
if they DARE to BUFF GENJI and TRACER instead of nerfing them i’m never coming back to this game.
No more updates would be enough to give up.

If they end up going through with forced 2-2-2. I love this game to death, and I’ve been playing every single day since beta, but that change will cause me to leave this game for good.
Probably the only thing they could do to make me quit would be turn this game into another generic shooter. I really enjoy that this game has actual well defined tanks and healers, and no other game offers such a game in such a great way. I fear if blizzard ever starts listening to a lot of the complainers on here that will happen. We’re already seeing tanks get massive cross the board nerfs, I’m sure supports are next.
Basically if they listen to any of the “nerf threads” currently on the forums I’d quit. We have no characters in the live version of the game that need nerfs. None. The only things we need are buffs, tweaks, or reworks.
That or if the content drought goes on much longer. Archives is great and all, but that’s once a year, not really enough to keep me interested, and new hero releases are way too slow too.
Lowkey wouldn’t mind this if not just because I don’t really like the “joke” characters like Jetpack Cat and stuff

I think this is a bit extreme for me. I’d definitely be more skeptical of their future titles, but I don’t think I could go as far as to say, “ALL of it is garbage, no matter what.” It just seems so immature of a stance. Capcom fanboy, so I’ve certainly been through those ups and downs.
For Overwatch. I’m not sure. I’d have to be really crossed by something where it would essentially be a hard restart on everything I’ve put into the game.
Like if the game went f2p and I was pretty much paywalled on everything with… say… “Here’s 4 unlocks because you bought the game.” I’d say, “yup, done here.” No point in rebuilding that much lost progress.
I would like to point out that is way different than when a character is reworked. Reworked character is just one aspect of the game I have to learn… If I don’t like it anymore, I just don’t play the character anymore.
Doing away with Solo Q and forcing people to either make their own groups or utilize LFG would probably do it.
It’s been a while since I’ve used it, LFG, but you don’t have to have a full group to queue, up, right?
Even if it was enforced, and it was still just you, couldn’t you still just, create and hit search?
A Mei or Sym meta would probably do me in
You don’t need a full group, no, and you can just create a group and let others join, but I am 100% a solo queue player. Not interested at all in forming groups.
So, I guess what I’m trying to understand. If it’s a game you enjoy playing, and you could find a walk around like… Create Lobby, and “oh hey, it’s only me,” now find game. You wouldn’t just do that?
