What the HECK are these Brigitte Nerfs!?!?!?

well it was dive, all day everyday in ranked, but it was pretty much just what it allways have been in qp, genji/tracer/widow/hanzo/mccree and some healer most likely mercy.

link to this? want to see this xD

In order to heal she must be in the fights and stay alive.
In order to heal even a little she must be able to deploy her shield without being 1 or 2 shot by any dps and mitigate the damages taken in order to heal.
How can you do that with her kit if you’re not in the fight ?
She needs to be with her tanks so in the frontline to be useful. Staying in the back far from the pushers (tanks, and some dps) makes her useless and a free kill for flanks and snipers.
I’m personnaly not impacted by theses changes because I prefer Moira. More efficient in almost all situations, better healing, better mobility, better synergy with all characters and not butchered because of cryers whining because they were not able to one shot a support.

But I liked Brigitte. Way before she was butchered.

it’s still a weakness and have allways been a weakness, everytime she swings she’s subject to getting sniped, even if she had her shield up she got sniped becauise 15° angle was enough for a sniper to kill her.

but yeah. there’s a lot of heroes that was good against brig and have allways been, but tracer and genji players did not enjoy it which ment it was time to chop her down. and you can just look at the dev commentary why tracers pulsebomb now does 350 dmg instead of 300.

I already said Brig should be in the front, I agree with you. Brig worked in GOATS because it’s one big moving component all glued together, think of GOATS as 6 players combining into one big player. Brig has worked in those kind of composisitons only.

I just played her for a game on ptr it actually feels really good exept I think the regen on her Shield should start taking affect faster

I like the direction they’re going in. However, it’ll need some more refining.

As it is right now:

  • Brig has to be far more passive

which would be okay if it weren’t for the fact that:

  • Brig’s tools for being passive are very bad because they nerfed her self healing so significantly and her shield is dinky
    – Her shield is dinky and can be destroyed with less than a clip now
    – Her stun duration is reduced
    – Her healing over time is not that beneficial when you can have significantly higher, burst heals from Ana, Mercy, and Moira

She’s basically supposed to be more passive and play a healer, which I’m okay with! But her close-range utility does not fully allow that. They’ll need to tune it a bit more.

Also remember you’re not solo healing and Brig is an off healer… You need to coordinate with your team and have your main healer help you as well as help your main healer if they’re being dived in the backline. I believe you’d be fine if you had someone like Ana, Moira or Baptiste covering your back but I think if someone like Ana is getting dived you quickly go to help her and you can use your shield/stun. The point in OW is to create a match up where the person who plays their hero better can kill the other player.

but it’s good, she can now be a healer, she can now stand in the backline and just look at her flail and her shield and do emotes between whipshot proccs.

I never said close it. Keeping her shield at 500 however would still leep her just as vulnerable as she is now to it. More so, actually, what with the self heal nerfs.

I think they’re taking her shield in that direction so that she isn’t a tank where she can provide constant coverage, rather more situtational coverage. For example, if your backline support is being dived by a Genji

you mean a genji that can kill brig with no risk of actually dying anymore?
yeah it’s going to be fun when this goes live

I like them.

Just have a main healer watch your back like you should be doing anyways and she’s actually a lot stronger now than before.

Don’t get why they’re nerfing the stun duration though. That one sorta confuzzles me.

How does Genji have no risk of actually dying? If he is jumping your backline support, it’s 2 vs 1… and he can’t deflect your melee attacks.

Which I’d be fine with. But then her Inspire sucks on herself. It’s like “You can heal yourself significantly less, and also you’re not going to be able to defend yourself well anymore”

It’s taking 2 hits that hurt each other. She sustains herself less, and she can’t protect herself as much.

Not to mention her ult charge requirement is higher, too, to give herself more survivability.

Like I said, I like the direction she’s being taken. I just think they gotta tune it a bit more. They took away too much. The self-heal one is the one I’m hoping they dial back a bit. Give her a little reward for risking herself more.

I agree, I think they need to fine tune it and I strongly believe they will.

Then you should argue for Doomfist and Sombra nerfs too.

How far back you want to go? The only thing worse than moth meta was Release Genji.

Here’s hoping.

I like the Repair Pack change, honestly. Feels better to use, and feels better going against it, too, while remaining impactful. It feels a lot more preventative, though, instead of as a saving grace. That’s gonna be a shift for me :joy:
