What the actual frick just happened. I just had one of the worst matches of my entire Overwatch career which isn’t that impressive but whatever. Some background, I was playing with a friend who just installed the game again, and I just reached gold (woohoo!) We were on Busan if you’re wondering.
Busan Karaoke Place thing - Win
First round goes by, we win! Not a bad match, yet. I was on Moira with silver healing, gold elims, gold obj elims, and objective time.
Busan Sanctuary - Loss
Around the middle of the round I’m a bit far from the tanks, the dude pointed it out and I regrouped. Not really far just like 5 meters but ok. And then we fight in which their Pharah ults, fair enough but then their Pharah hits me with a rocket. And I die (still on Moira) and since I obviously away from the team, I was to blame, and my friend joined him. As you can see in this clip

And this guy had the audacity to be toxic, he was MEI. And couldn’t even get Gold Elims over a MOIRA? I was healing 90% of the time by the way, I had like 10k which isn’t the most but still pretty average. And this poopyhead literally was mad at me! What. The. Actual. Frick.
Third Round on MEKA Base, I switch to Ashe.
When I switched to Ashe I instantly sniped their Pharmercy right out of the sky, 1 head 1 body served on a nice warm place. And then I kill a ton more and I die and our Mei is like “u died again!!!” and I’m just thinking, this is why I quit for so long. And he says I’m gold so I’m gonna carry, HOW DOES ONE CARRY? I’m on the top of the team, almost everything GOLD as Moira. I don’t like to flex, but this little poop was just so annoying. I talked back telling him how many gold medals I had and that I was pretty much carrying. He’s like dude ur not on Genji lul. This idiot was gonna be toxic towards me and he’d just disregard the fact I had almost gold everything. I don’t mean to say that I was carrying, I didn’t even mention them until he was a butthole. I don’t think medals are the best measurement for “carrying” but I think they’re the best metric you have in game.
The replay is 67SEJ4. I know I was probably trash since like fricking Kephriii is seeing this but just know, I had 3 golds and 2 silvers.

I had atleast 10k healing when the match ended. I was not dpsing at all I was trying to maintain a quick spray of heals, into some replenishing. And it worked like a charm, I pretty much always had half heal juice. I was trying to heal my team.

Honestly OP and Mei both sound kinda pepega, medals are meaningless and people in gold make mistakes, it’s not a surprise. You should’ve just blocked that Mei and ignore her.

I know golds aren’t the best form of performance measuring, but I think that I shouldn’t have gotten the flak I did.
Mate, I’m T500 as Lucio and when I play on alt accounts 1000 SR below my usual rank I get flamed by hardstuck diamonds who have no idea about what they are talking about.
We all get flamed by randoms sadly, all you can do is report and block that person, arguing with them will only make you tilt even more or worse, give them ground to report you too.

I didn’t tilt at the dude, I tilted at the fact that my friend agreed with him! Like I was doing pretty good for myself and this dude still thought I was trash.
Also I didn’t argue, just pointed out the fact I had like every medal. He can’t report me since all I did was say I have gold almost everything.
Based off what youre saying your whole team sounded like it was no match for the other…
Other than that though try not to let one person get to you or youll never enjoy the game.

Just saying you got gold medals could be seen as toxic by some, i’ve been reported for less than that.

He just reinstalled, he had the game for a while. That guy had no room to report, he was out there saying “frick” (if you get what I mean) more than I wanted to leave this game.
I’m telling you, people abuse the report feature, I got suspended on my main and asked for the logs to the gm to see what I said, some people had reported me for typing the lyrics of a song with the another word for butt, like, what? why would you do that?
People are jerks. I wouldn’t play with that friend anymore if he’s gonna be a sore loser and blame you. Report the Mei.
10k in 2+ rounds of KOTH as Moira sounds pretty not-good, especially if both sides get time and the fights are scrappy

? so??? Mei doesn’t do a lot of damage or hit a lot of people, she’s mostly there for CC. Most characters will struggle to get more elims than Moira, who gets rewards an elim because a succ orb she fired 8 seconds ago did 3 damage to someone who died afterwards.

Moira gets elims for free for tickle damage. A gold Mei can easily lose gold to a Moira, that’s the average scenario in gold
watched your clip, your team was TOO grouped up for the circumstance (red moira ulting, red pharah existing)
you were worried so much about staying close together that its ultimately what did you in. believe me… as a pharah player, the enemy staying grouped up is exactly what you want them to do
