Personally, I think Roadhog and Mauga are very fun tanks, even if everyone says they’re lame and boring
Reinhardt is easily the most fun “low skill” hero in the game. He has saved Overwatch as far as I am concerned. If I want to aim, I will play Valorant. The aim assist is better (by being worse) in that game anyways. Landing shots in Overwatch is overrated post season 9. I am trying to build up some game sense instead.
Soldier. I’m a Mercy main with a 68% win rate on Soldier. Most straight-forward kit in the game. There’s a reason he’s the tutorial hero.
yeah, and the positional skills you gain from rein carry over to most tanks, he was my second Gold Gun (even though i dont play him much nowadays)
I think I main all the big ones:
Mei, Hog, Kiriko, Ball.
Although I don’t like playing him anymore, Bastion is still my favorite character. I loved how simple his kit was, with the very obvious drawback being the complete lack of movement in sentry mode, and I loved trying to make him work in situations he had no business working in back in OW1, such as on the attacking side of 2CP maps, and I got pretty decent at it and managed to climb to masters by doing so (would’ve been dope to get to GM as I did on tank & support, but I just wasn’t good enough). Then with OW2 came the rework, and it took away almost everything I liked about the old Bastion :/ (at least he got the cute hat I guess…)
As for other “annoying/low skill”-heroes, I think almost all the heroes I like have been labelled as such at some point. My current favorite is Mauga, but I also like Roadhog, Mei, Sombra, Reaper, Ana, Moira, Brig & Mercy.
Idk really.
Ball feels pretty low effort until I get some cheap counters and multiple of them on the opposition, I can never have a CHULL MATCH EVER on Ball because a hard counter is as simple wait and hold down one button (Seriously fix this man.)
Then I main Venture on DPS, and Moira for support.
So idk. Easy-to-play heros don’t really attract me, so this is a good question.
Maybe Mauga when there’s a ego centric Roadhog who is just abusing sustain stats when a tank player notices he has two heavy healbot style players who hard focus him. Probably fun for the hog as they feel immortal, but for me, going as Mauga to be able to STILL BURN THROUGH THREE LEVELS OF SUSTAIN and damage reduction is satisfying to a degree. I’m still against the sheer raw damage that he can output, but man I hate seeing simple combos like that elevate numbers on opposition just because its “the easy way to play”
Cass ashe and soldier. Most straightforward kit and every kid knows how to aim these days from the popularity of fps shooters. You know it get sweaty when the enemy pick those heroes.
Oh god: Soldier, Junkrat, Moira, Sigma, Ana, Bap (honestly it feels like I could name any support and someone is bound to find them annoying.)
Torb because getting killed by him is a skill issue.
Annoying - Ball
Low skill - Reaper
A match with Hog and Mauga are fun games for everyone in the lobby.
None of the heroes in this thread are actually low skill…
Annoying sure, but moira is the only no skill hero in the game after early release brigitte
Reinhardt is definitely not a low skill hero… lol.
Aim is not the only skill expression, there is reaction, shatters, pins, firestrikes, etc.
Moira is a great example of a zero skill hero on the other hand.
Reaper, or at least Reaper back when he could actually do anything.
I think people misinterpret what low and high skill ceiling means and just associate it with “player bad.” All a high skill ceiling means is that you have more options at your disposal to deal with any number of situations.
Basically bloated kit characters.
It was Torb, but they gutted his kit all the way back in OW1, then nerfed the turret.
Zarya, Ram, Sigma, Torb, Bap, Kiri, Illari. All are annoying, low skill, or both. Doesn’t matter to me because I enjoy 'em all.
Playing? Widow, but the complaints about her kit are totally valid.
Conceptually? Bastion.
Back in ow1 days, reinhardt was a 1 star hero and moira a 2 star hero. (According to the devs)
Well, I “love” Mei and Sombra… meaning their characters, personality, voicelines, etc. But I find their kits both very annoying, and think parts of their kits are ridiculously low skill.
