What is wrong with content creators?

The sad thing is where you see creators go from one extreme to the other. Biggest one for me was Neebz Gaming or the Battlefield Friends channel what ever it used to be called.

They started with animations created and voiced by themselves. Going so far as to make fun of streamers playing Battlefield at one point…

And then they joined the bandwagon and basically did lets play content like every one else. They are still some funny guys last time I watched them but yeah the quality is no longer there.

Edit: and They were a “successful” animation channel with a large following, patereon, merch and other forms of support. Even they gave it up to make easy cash.

Why should I make content on YouTube when I am just getting <1000 views per video, mostly overwatch workshop content that takes a good amount of effort and time to make, don’t get ads revenue out of it, and YouTube stealing MY money by putting ads on my videos.

i like making montages but i rarely do cause of how long editing and gathering clips takes

That’s the content that I like, no yelling, no editing, no opinions that I don’t care, just high level gameplay

YouTube doesn’t promote creativity.

The rector’s killed it for everyone else by stealing others works and lazily passing it off as their own.

It’s easier to ragebait people into watching with a thumbnail than it is to make good content.

I recently discovered IcemanBry edits and they’re really good and keeping my mood up!
after being fooled about videos named for example “this is how to do evironmental kills with orisa” and watching 15 mins just to finally notice that orisa and 5 sec moment when she did it - nope thanks.

We live in the era of fast content. This type of format guarantees many visits with less creative effort.

It’s not that deep. If you love fan animation and montages so much, be the change you want to see in the world and pay up.
