What’s the point in asking if you want people to be “realistic” and not whatever weird combos they want?
a meta where every hero is viable and this can come close to possible if there are dps/tank specific maps that favor these heroes. Its really the only way
None because metas would always lead to a general nerfs to meta heroes one way or another.
The best scenario is if we have metas with various comps instead of the 1 per 3 months
there should never be a meta, the existence of a meta is a sign of imbalance. if a meta exists it is because the game is not balanced.
A meta where I don’t have to play and fight against the same damn tank and healer, but I guess this is a concept too hard to understand for blizzard developers who insist too balance this game around personal “perception”.

i meant what is the meta that will you be happy about and dont answer me “a meta were everything is a good pick” because that is impossible, from the looks of it people will never be happy about the meta
I just want a temporary shift to an Orisa dominant meta. All other tanks (aside from the latest) have had their time to shine for a multitude of seasons, why not give that to Orisa too? Could also help Orisa counters/synergizers like Roadhog, Mercy, Symmetra, Bastion, and Junkrat. These players haven’t had too much good luck in the meta for a while.
Unpopular opinion, but my opinion nonetheless.

I preferred dive over goats anyday, much more fun to watch and it was really only played at the highest level. Pretty much all comps were viable including anti-dive, deathball etc (even 4 tanks). But now you see games where goats is the only comp you can really play - you literally have the off tank playing sombra rather than the actual DPS just so you can keep brig ult charge for when you switch to goats!
D.Va, Winston, Wrecking Ball, then 3 whatevers; Mercy, Lucio and a dive DPS I guess.
if you want a comp like this I’d reccomend playing WoW
When I played Paladins, the meta comp was 2 frontlines 1 attack 1 flanker 1 support, with 3 frontlines 1 flanker 1 support being also very powerful.
Like OW, Paladins has trouble with tanks being OP and making their damage class useless.
the meta isnt nearly as important over there, thats one thing i like about it.
We had it - the sniper meta - and people absolutely hated it.

People have hated everything we’ve had up until now.
Everything beats close quarters melee bs in a shooter however.

I agree, people will always hate any meta. It’s how things are.
Doesn’t really matter. There is no defined meta in ranked. Closest thing we have to that is: have a healer and ideally a tank. That’s pretty much it. Even when people pick the meta heroes, they rarely play the meta comp. As Jeff said it: down it plat you might have a Winston and a D.va, but you’re not playing dive.
