What is the 1 thing you hate Game Devs did to 6v6 launch?

I don’t understand, what do you mean? An example of what would be a communication other than “hey, here’s this thing”?

I don’t agree completely. We always see people complaining here, but there are many others outside (and few here) who are appreciating it. You can’t please everyone, but… it’s always better than completely denying 6v6 as they forced us to, I think? :man_shrugging:

honestly (from my subjective experience) i didn’t find any big differences. some values to fix (especially for zarya) and nothing too scary. i think it’s an interesting way to coexist… BUT the most important factor is time. 3 weeks is a long time, and the tank queue needs some analysis on how well it handles the influx or if it will be plagued by the old problems again. because with or without 6v6, the tank role (aside from the arrival of new tanks / reworks) is much less popular than the other roles and you tend to become the tank too often when you choose a random role.

come on, do we really need to use the meme “who wants to double tank?” (everyone) “and who wants to tank?” (almost no one)?

now people are talking about the balance of season 9. can i be brutally honest? it’s just another stubbornness to have 6v6 exactly as it was at all costs, and that’s not good mentality. “trying 6v6 again” means trying different approaches from the past, this is not a nostalgia approach. the game must grow, not fossilize in the past (also because it would be impossible, new maps and heroes exist). “OW classic” takes care of nostalgia, not an experiment that wants to move forward. we have to try with what we have, including passives.

Not making it permanent and a main mode right away.
Also no old maps. It kinds sux with the new ones.

In all fairness, current Orisa has some incredible front-line presence and seems to work with a lot of tanks. Would have loved reintroduction of her OW1 abilities but keep javelin spin instead of her soccer net just for the sake of no double shield with Sig.

If the other person is playing Hog… good luck no matter what cause Hog is just Hog lmao

I expected nerfs and losing buffs they got in ow2. I expected rein to lose a fire strike. Honestly thought he would lose charge cancel too. I expected their attempt at 6v6, we didn’t know the changes prior to it launching. We knew they were not adding cc back, they probably did mention rein fire strike going back to one. But no, we didn’t have specifics. And I don’t think it’s perfect right now, but improvements and changes can be made.

Idk about orisa. My experience so far has been her melting pretty fast with headshots. And her ult being a death sentence since she can be headshot now. Maybe with a barrier tank she would do better, but to me she has seemed weak and easy to kill. But it’s early, I could be wrong.

I just cycle her cooldowns and play cover but I always do that. I honestly forget 99% of the time that Fortify gives her crit damage immunity. Yeah, she’s not as much of a raid boss in 6v6 but I still do wish they gave her halt back over the javelin and supercharger over her current ult which even with buffs is bad. At least her old ult was team utility.

RIP my lovely OW1 Orisa.

I personally think ow2 orisa is so much more fun than ow1. But moving back to 6v6, maybe her old kit would be fine again, but that it was ever my cup of tea. Seems they didn’t want to really remove reworks, honestly have no idea why hog of all heroes they decided to do that to. And no one else.

While the reaper mains pretend he’s still garbage

I was a D.Va main in Overwatch 1 for 6 years. I played other tanks too but I mained D.Va. This version of D.Va is basically balanced around one of her lower points where she kinda felt weak even back then. Like even at the time I wanted buffs. Towards the end of Overwatch 1 I was already begging for the steadfast passive to extend to all tanks because I had had it up to my eyeballs with CC. Like I was so done with it.

There’s been a lot of power creep, damage creep, heal creep, and health bar creep thanks to season 9. So, this version of D.Va that was already weak in OW1 is very weak in OW2. And it’s not simply a matter of me being out of practice with how to play 6v6. That part is like riding a bike. She is legit weak and needs buffs or other things need nerfs, lots of other things.

How is that a big jump?
We always knew Hazard would be in S14, and the 6v6 tests would be in S14.
Pretty easy to figure out Hazard would be in the 6v6 tests.

I felt the same. Like, she can off-tank exceptionally well, but the fact that I solo dived a Widow today, who was isolated, and I theoretically win that every single time… She survived… HUH?!?

Can we just not have DPS above 200 HP with the exception of the “tankier” ones that always had over 200HP (Torb, Bastion, Reaper guy, Mei.) There is no reason the most lethal character should be left unpunished if caught out of position.

Also the DPS passive makes it just really difficult on supports. They gave tanks the open queue HP pools and DPS/supports have way too much HP because …season 9

Bro probably thought the 6v6 test was same as those 6v6 events
