What happened to Widowmaker?

Please, consider one important thing - Widowmaker was abducted, when overwatch was still functioning: she was the reason why Ana lost her eye and faked her death. And she killed her husband in a few days after a retribution event.
Then, there is also one more point about Moira’s relation to Widow’s state: Someone may speculate that she already was in a talon when she participated in blackwatch, only because talon snipers in their intro had similar smoke effect around them. I find this one very debatable, because there is also one important thing in Moira’s biography - there was many scientists who tried to reproduce the results of her research, but they failed. And even at that point of time there was already a lot of scientists in talon. Another Important detail is when exactly Moira came into talon agency as a council member. I sense that It was somewhere between doomfist’s arrest(storm rising) and Volskaya’s assasination attempt, and Reaper and Sombra probably(According to that “meet a friend” voiceline) were the ones who’s taken her out of Oasis to work with them. In a both of these events Amelie was already converted into Widowmaker.
Nooow, let’s pay a closer attention at Widow’s talon skin - as I said somewhere before, her skin color became less blueish an more lively. Some people say that she looked that way when she was firstly captured by talon’s operatives. This is wrong, because there was already version of that suit with the same outfit, but with longer hair and original blue skin - and it was not just a concept, it was shown in that comic where she shot Ana’s eye. With that said, it’s more logical to assume that her in-game Talon skin is most likely to be her current state.
Last, I’ll say one more bit about the nature of Moira interactions. The only few occasions when Moira was actually sarcastic\ironic to someone, were only her interactions with Pharah and Winston. The rest is just her being defensive\concerned\curious\friendly to her colleagues. She’s not as wily as some people portray her, and her intentions wasn’t bad in a first place, she only seeks resources in talon, that’s It.
In conclusion, it’s HIGHLY LIKELY that Moira is curing Amelie, and genuinely asks about her well-being, while Amelie is lying to her, possibly not to cause any suspicion from others. If you listen closer to that unsure tone when Widow says “that’s the point, isn’t it?”, it becomes slightly more obvious.

They locked her in a room and played “Dancing Queen” on repeat for an extended period of time

The Talon skin is supposed to represent how she looked before her sniper training, before she shot Ana. She was kidnapped and in training for about a year before that encounter - the Talon skin would be contemporaneous with Uprising, which happened the year before Legacy.

Her current appearance is her default skin - you can see how blue her skin is in the Masquerade comic.

Just have checked the Masquerade comic again. There is something very odd with sombra’s skin color in it, even if she supposed to look natural in bright light. As for Widow, when she’s surrounded by light in casino, the shadow on her skin is more warmer. It can also be caused from reflexes in her shadow, but overall I see some difference, so she’s definitely still has that blue-ish tint, but it got slightly warmer comparing to the way she was shown in museum cinematic in a daytime.

I don’t mention her image from cover art where she has that ballerina costume, because that color scheme is overall fitting for a nighttime, so the palette probably may not represent it correctly.
However, I doubt we will ever come to compromise before any OW2 news as for her redesign. Even If it’s supposed to show her early years in a talon, there should be a little description under equipment button to fully assert this fact, until now it’s just an enigma.

The Museum cinematic isn’t a very good reference - it was made before the heroes’s designs were finalized.

I compared It only as an example of how such a blue skin color behaves in a daylight and bright surfaces whatsoever, and how it differs from what I have shown. Of course those models may be kinda outdated, but her design remained the same as her default. What I wanted to say,is that the shadows would’ve be slightly more colder and closer to violet if she remained the same.
And I’m still eager to see some real changes(if she had any) in her redesign. However I’ll be okay with any conclusion, because I kinda liked that other talon units now looking much less like a soulless clones, they are became more human-like.
