I’m sure they’ll fix that at some point down the road. There were a few glitches with this years Summer Games. Including screw-ups with voice volume on consoles. Either Blizzard/OverWatch fell behind schedule and did not check everything thoroughly or their development team is not as good as they used to be.

Mei’s voiceline “You have to let it go” doesn’t change to “You have to let it snow” with the Mei-rry skin equipped as well.

Well, there are some nice changes as well though.

The latest patch added more voicelines and sound effects to emotes.
Mei has more giggles now with her emotes and she used to had only the second giggle:

Wait, those voicelines existed?

I got the grillmaster skin way back during it’s release and I’ve never heard it (or at least don’t recall hearing it). I’m probably just going to go back into overwatch just to hear those voicelines now.

Stuff like this keeps going missing in the game.

They accidentally removed the pop-up charts for most played heroes as well.

I can’t think of many games that reduce content like this.

Blizzard game engines aren’t exactly known for their robustness, since WoW vanilla came out back in the old days already… especially inserting timing glitches of all kind is one of their fortes…

There has been complains that the new Rein voice line for his ult gives him an advantage since its shorter, quicker and quieter than the vanilla voice line, making the skin effectively pay to win. Personally I think the complaints are totaly valid and I’ve said this kind of thing before so maybe its a response to that, depending on when it was changed.

I think custom voice lines should only be used in quick play and arcade and vanilla voice lines should be standard in competitive
