Never played OW, but wanted something that would scratch the TF2 itch. TF2 didn’t catch my interest either, but always regretted not playing it.
Guess OW is my TF2.
Before OW, always disliked the transitory nature of multiplayer games. Each CoD game is only popular while people stick around to play, then servers become ghost towns. And so on to the next.
Why even start playing a game like that, get hooked if it could be gone tomorrow? That’s what I thought, at least.
Until OW, I’d mostly played single player games, or games with a multiplayer component like DS and Monster Hunter World. In fact, I was too busy fighting monsters to play the first OW, something I’m not entirely sure I regret.
I mean, I regret that I didn’t play the original, but at the same time, I was playing one of my all time favorite games. A game that still calls to me from time to time.
