I mean sure if you need a crutch like that but we don’t usually need to switch to her cause we can play Weaver to the same level.
Unless the enemy team has like a lot of status effects there’s no specific reason for us to go Kiriko especially against shield heros.

He can off angle with another teammate and play with flankers. Then if they’re losing the fight you can life grip them away. Can’t do that with any other support. At best you can throw suzu or immortality field, but no other support can pull them away from a fight they’re about to lose
Right, I had a feeling it was something like that. There does seem to be trends when it comes to them
Like on Eichenwalde, I’m guessing the door on the attackers’ right is the popular one?
Ult charge and making the enemy waste time until you can thorn them.
Weaver is like mercy… user friendly but very little individual carry potential.
These heroes rely on their teammates to win the game and offer very little win themselves
Great healing a survivability.
But generally heal bots don’t win you games
In this situation he becomes a flanker specializing in off angling and diverting attention, he also can pull a teakmate any teammate to him to secure a kill from what I’ve seen this works 100% of the time regardless of how bad a teammate might be.
It’s also about timing your abilities correctly, thing like waiting out while hog before you use tree of life, using tree to break turret and making sure it dosen’t get melted by Lava.
The only people I see say Weaver has no carry potential are those with less then a 50% win rate, and a lack luster pick rate of actually playing Lifeweaver.
Because there fate has already been predetermined.
What most people mean when they say this is they absolutely trust no one on your team and you’d be more use to someone like Tracer or a dps who can just annihilate everyone completely regardless of there skill level.
And outside of a few outliers like Baptiste, a lot of supports rely on there team that’s why we heal them in the first place.
Yeah ok.
You should never lose then
What part of 58% win rate wasn’t clear?
And it dosen’t guarantee a win look I get all of you think you understand lifeweaver and want to sound all big and bad like yall know what your talking about.
It mainly just guarantees I get the pick, 1 pick dosen’t magically win the game.
But remember who the ever living hell your talking to.
Rage more baby
Sorry I hurt your wittle weaver feewings
Why is there any need for me to rage? I said what I wanted your more angry then me from the looks of it, you have no actual words left.
When I say stuff its meant to end the discussion right then and there.
Anything else is irrelevant
The conversation ended when I killed your argument.
Weaver is a bad heal bot i don’t need to say more
He needs a buff and he’s getting a buff so yes, but I swear all this usual crap I hear about him being bad, unplayable, or not being able to do like anything.
Your talking to me the same way I talk to the Weavers I get on my team and I understand that because that is how people generally play him, and it is freaking garbage.
But I feel personally insulted when people compare me to the same Weavers I know are trash as if were anywhere near the same level in terms of what this hero can do
It because it doesn’t matter how big his healing number are, if your team is struggling weaver should be the first swap because healbotting is the worst thing you can do.
Hell even mercy at least has dmg boost.
This is an interesting question, and the answer isn’t obvious. To me, Lifeweaver’s biggest strength is the nature of his healing blossoms. They have long range, they can’t miss, and you can even use cover while charging them. This makes them perfect for healing squishies, particularly dive heroes.
Many Lifeweavers fall in the trap of spending most of their time healing the tank, which reflects well on the scoreboard, but ultimately provides very little value as his healing is very low (51.8 HPS with reload). You will have no time to deal damage, and ultimately become a mediocre healing bot. If you want to healbot the tank, play Ana/Kiriko/Moira or some other support.
That doesn’t mean Lifeweaver is left without options. Lifegrip is one of the most powerful abilities for saving tanks in the game. I would argue it might even be the most powerful as it doesn’t have a cast or travel time like Suzu, Immortality Field, or Biotic Grenade. You just press E and your tank lives, or whoever you’re targeting. They might get upset that you moved them, but even in the worst case scenario they’ll be alive and most likely healed.
Finally his Tree is one of the most underrated ultimates in the game. It heals a huge amount over a large area, provides overhealth, and most importantly it’s completely self-sustaining. It doesn’t get team kills by itself, but it takes almost none of your time and always provides your team with a large passive advantage. It’s almost impossible not to get some kind of value out of it with very little investment.
So to summarize, Lifeweaver’s strengths are the range and consistency of his healing, the saving power of Life Grip, and the reliability of his ultimate.
In this situation I usually like go on a flank, take an off angle, try to to some weird crap with tree, or like hell kill someone ANYONE that’s possible people forget all you gotta do in ow2 is get at the very least 1 pick.oo
It’s also match up dependent against a good Lifeweaver like Sauceboss, Rakattack etc.
Rein can’t hold him, Orisa can’t hold him, and a few others
You wait out there cool downs.
If more people played him correctly, youd see that like he has his strengths and weaknesses like everyone else.
He has heros hes good into and bad into (Like Mauga and pharah) like everyone else.
My win rates actually like 59% right now I can get a screenshot if need be.
But it also be like Higher if I didn’t play him into bad situations is the insane part, like with Dva Mercy comps, or try and force him against Mauga or pharah or Echo.
People keep magically forgetting season 8 Lifeweaver was good cause everyone else still had all the healbot Weavers.
The only reason I even want a buff now is so Weaver can keep up since he is a break point hero and everyone had more hp and some even more armor.

Whoever said we’re healbotting? I think it’s been made pretty clear by now that’s not what you’re dealing with here
The pain is very real. And in my case, if they’re close but not quite close ENOUGH, I’ll start flailing around trying to dash at them and finish them with a melee, keep missing it, and get stuck in a reload loop. It’s such a bad habit
I think a lot of people underestimate just how much we would love a simple thorn ammo buff
Well, not quite accurate, but they could deal a fair bit of damage which allowed him to either poke a tank from afar or deter a tank that jumped at him…and then they literally halved his damage vs armour.

Why go after the tank take on that widow man. Didn’t you see that earlier forum post by a widowmaker player.
