What do you think of Ashe without makeup?

Well, she is the bad guy.
Duh.

She looks like she has no eyelashes.

She looks interesting. I could dig her with or without makeup. She to me, somewhat looks like a guy in the last pic without makeup haha She’s adorable both ways!
I personally wouldn’t mind a skin of her without makeup actually since every woman I think aside from Tracer wears it? A guy hero with “guyliner” would be pretty cool too!

I don’t really dig her red eyes, but I am used to them by now so it doesn’t matter to me now haha She has looks resembling that if an albino person and I don’t think she is meant to be, which is a throw off for me. I know that this is clearly a fictional game with blue women and cyber ninjas though so yeah, anything goes :joy:

To me she looks more realistic, but considering the overall design of Overwatch is quite stylized, it comes over as uncanny to me, not uglier or anything… just uncanny. So yeah, I prefer with make-up.

I wish Moira didn’t have makeup lol.

The one “edit” of her without makeup changed the shape of her face, eyes, jaw… and purposely made her look nothing like herself and tried to pass it off as just “no makeup”

Make your Support sad type? Make your Damage mad type? Might seduce your Tank type?
Cause if so, man, she’s the best villain we have in the game. Talon is slacking compared to her.

I would be banned if I were to speak honestly.

I think she looks great but there is a definite difference in perceived character type without the makeup. She doesn’t seem as egocentric, like Ashe sort of feels and probably is being she was a leader of a gang.

ur scaring me …

This again? No offense, but this “screencap” legitimately annoys me.

People always show off that image of “Ashe & Widowmaker are literally the same!” …when in reality, they aren’t.

They both have different eye shapes.
Their jawlines are much different from one another.
Their noses don’t have the same shape as well.

The most you can say is that Blizzard used Widowmaker’s model to create Ashe and as a result, they’re around the same height.

Honestly, it seems like people just saw two females of European-descent, who are about 5’9" (175 centimeters) in height who wield rifles that can shoot at long ranges, and automatically proclaimed that they were both one and the same.

She looks very tired :frowning:
And I would honestly like to see other ow ladies without their makeup now

Also you can tell the Ashe side of that image has been edited to match Widowmaker’s face.

Looks unattractive - yuck

It’s like that one Seinfeld episode, except she just looked different in different lighting lmao.

For me, Brigitte, Widowmaker, and D.Va are the prettiest without makeup.

Ok but she’s albino. She would have a lot less pigmentation in her lips.

It was strange for me at first, seeing the no-makeup pics. That’s odd. The human body, in itself, is attractive. I mean I get that make up boosts sex appeal, but this much? I really wasn’t aware.

Well, I guess our beauty senses have been trained to expect women wearing make-up. If they stopped then after a little while, the picture on the right would look normal and the one on the left would look comical.

Kind of reminds me of my mother.

But…Ashe isn’t albino? She just has the white hair, red-eyed look because it looks cool, the same reason why one of Moira’s eyes are naturally red, and Sombra’s are purple…it looks cool.

Albinos literally can’t tan because they have an absence of melanin and out of all the European female characters in the game, she has the darkest skin tone. Also, albinos only have red eyes when being viewed from cameras due to the camera seeing the blood vessels behind the irises. Most albinos would have blue, brown, or hazel eyes, not to mention vision problems.

The whole Ashe having albinism thing I think came from fanon, and if she’s albino it’s more of the whole Hollywood albino than anything.

Well that’s just not true. Albinism isn’t some a cookie cutter constant here. You’re right about some of those things but generally what you’re saying is based on stereotypes. There are actually a lot of different types of it.

Yes, Ashe does fit the caricature of what the average person thinks somebody with albinism would look like in some features while she lacks them in others. I think we can both agree that design choice was overall done because it looks cool. That doesn’t discredit the idea that there’s meaning behind it as there often is, which has never been confirmed or denied by anyone from the overwatch team thus far. What we do know is that Ashe has had her hair and eyes from birth, and she fits a lot of the stereotypical check marks, as most heroes do in this game.
