Is it the lore? The Design? The representation? The playstyle? I wanna know why a certain hero has resonated with a certain player.
There’s so much hate and negativity going around at the moment (late patches, nerfs demands, late event, china.) I joined the forums not long ago to find people who share my passion for my main. I didn’t notice myself getting heated and argumentative in some of the posts until right now. I just want to read someone raving about their love for their hero. That’s what I want from the forums. I don’t care how long your reply is gonna be, I just wanna know and be happy for you.

I love Tracer mostly due to her personality for doing whatever she can to make the world a better place, even after Overwatch’s (the organization) downfall. I do inspire to be more like her in everything I do. I also find her gameplay design really fun and engaging (and I am really looking forward to the new patch).
The world could always more heroes.
Fun fact: I have over 320 hours on Tracer in my game play on Overwatch.

Don’t really “main” but my most played that are really close are Zarya and Lucio
Zarya: always dug the strong women vibe, and I enjoy a playstyle that protects my friends and can still fight.
Lucio: personality, and I will admit it, looks. Also enjoy booping people, plus sound barrier can still be sweet at times. But mostly boops.

I am a mercy main, because I think she is fun to play and I LOVE to support.
Mccree is my second main and the thing I like about him is that he is just so cool. His Voice is amazing. Playing him is also fun. Because of all this I cosplayed him xD

I’m a Mercy (and Ana) main! The lore is what will first draw me into a character, so Ana was my first main.
Ana:
She was this self reliant mother who would sacrifice herself for the people she loved. Her voice was beautiful and her design stunning. Her playstyle suited me too (always loved playing support and long range/snipers). The sound effects her kit has too is very satisfying.
Mercy:
She didn’t have much lore but she was beautiful… I didn’t want to play her at first. I tend to not like popular things (it’s silly I know). But one day I played her … and fell in love. I’ve always loved the concept of angels and swooping in to save people. She provides that rush. She’s fast and mobile and I feel like a god when I play her right even if I may not look impressive to others.

Oh, and Winston is basically Pyro from Tf2 but the playstyle actually works right, or used to, anyway.

What isn’t there to love about Junkrat though?? He has a fun chaotic playstyle and some amazing skins (Cricket ftw) and makes a buncha dumb puns and jokes during matches

i had a weak AF computer back in the day, and Mei was one of the only heroes i could play
i just got good through not having any other choice.

Im kinda sad bc iirc we were supposed to get more shorts using in game assets because it was cheaper and faster but so far nada
And they don’t even count it as an official short (*꒦ິ꒳꒦ີ)

Tracer’s my main 
and I love every bit of her. Although I’m a cynical person in real life, something about Tracer makes me optimistic. In the cenematic where she looked over at the little boy and told him, with passion in her eyes, that the world could always use more heroes, my eyes grew, and I felt like I was a 2-year-old girl watching a Disney movie for the first time.

As for me that would be D.Va, Hanzo and Brigitte depending on which role I wanna play.
Easiest one to explain is probably Hanzo. I just love tilting people by getting the most random headshots possible.
D.Va: She was something like a Jack of all trades. Eating enemies Ultimates is also a really fun thing to do. When I started playing Overwatch back on launch Day I didn’t like her. Not her Design with that stupid huge Meka, not her Personality, nothing. I got her then a few times in Mystery Heroes and kinda liked what I got there. She could do insane amounts of work. I kinda started to like her as a whole after seeing that I’m doing fairly well with her compared to how I did with all the other heroes. And she was my going to Hero since then.
Brigitte: I was so hyped when she was announced. I totally loved her Personality as well as her Design. When I saw that she was actually really good as well gameplay wise I knew I wanted to main her. Sadly she got a lot of Nerfs which took a fair amount of fun out of her since she only got real value after that if she was played in GOATS. Which never happened in gold/Plat. So I really got hyped again when I heard she is being reworked for 2-2-2 and also picked her up again. The only thing I’m missing now for her is a way to actually heal herself. Like a passive that starts healing her if she has been out of a fight for 2 or 3 seconds and if you stand still. You could tie that to an animation where she repairs her own armor. It would really fit her character and would make her less reliant on the other healer actually healing her.

I love having a mercy on my team. She really feels like a guardian angel because she always swoops in when I least expect it and heals me.
