You’re just making an assumption here. There is only so much healing I can do when our Support is in the back line pretending to be a DPS and our Tank is in Africa.
I would try to carry.
But if there is no way we can turn this over, I play something that I wanted to try out but only used in QP.
Unless it’s really horrible, I never leave a game, also never gotten a leaver penalty so far so I really don’t understand the leavers’ mindset.
I practice. Ill do drills for myself. I never left in the first place but thus is what I’ve always done in a hopeless match
Swap to Lucio and just wall ride and explore the map.
Eat the L so the enemy ximmers get to have fun, just like good ol’ blizz wants us to do ![]()
In control maps, the smurf group doesn’t touch the point at all and you ofc cannot touch the point.
0% : 0% forever till they are bored.
I only play open que for this particular reason. If we’re getting rolled, I’ll just hop on d.va or sombra, hack/eliminate on back line or build up enough ult charge for a good bomb just for that happiness lol
Right, and my post was simply pointing out that a QP game that lasts 10 minutes is NOT “a clear one-sided stomp”. Both teams were winning fights for it to drag out that long. A clear one-sided stomp will not exceed 6 minutes on most maps.
If you’re just using QP for “cooling off” or just “chilling”, then wins or losses shouldn’t matter, stomps or no stomps shouldn’t matter, it’s not a waste of time because you can still do things, you may not win, but you can still play.
Simply put, just stay in your match until it’s over and you don’t get a ban. Leaving a bunch of matches because people want to cherry pick lobbies that suit their exact desire for a favourable match is the reason we got the leaver penalty.
I think you are missing the point somehow. My problem is that it’s not fun to sit in a one sided stomp without being able to leave. Telling me “just stay” or “it’s not a one sided stomp” doesn’t address the problem I am having. Telling me “it’s only 5 minutes” literally doesn’t apply to me because I mostly play Comp.
You can leave that one match. Penalty occurs if you leave 4 matches in 20. I’ve literally never seen your hypothetical scenario happen even once in my 7 years of OW, so I doubt it’s happening often enough to get you multiple matches with them in a row. And if you see them again, then queue dodge, play a different mode for a while. There are ways to avoid a group without leaving 4 matches in a row.
Well that’s 100% a you problem, not a game problem then. Learn patience or take the time out. World doesn’t revolve around you and what you find fun. You’re not the main character.
You swap accounts
Try not leaving games because you think youre only going to win
So take any priority stat and work your way around to improve your gameplay
Like lowering your death ratio
This is the only game that this problem applies to. How is it not a game problem?
What do I do? Nothing different. Try to win.
Yeah, it was a comp so couldn’t decide to dodge so fast. I also saw that only once but I was surprised that the game rule is exploitable too easily.
Thankfully, they felt bored pretty fast(10 mins?) and all just fell off the map till the game ends.(It seems they were deranking)
Win or lose, I just keep playing as I normally would. Because giving up at the first sign of defeat would be a terrible habit to build.
I never mentioned “giving up at the first sign of defeat”, that’s an assumption on your part. Just because I can accurately predict that we will not win a match that has 3 throwers in it 9 times out of 10 doesn’t mean I am automatically “giving up”.
Why is that so difficult for some people to do?
Cuz my time is more important to me than some worthless internet strangers’ feelings.
I’m not actually I even quoted you saying that’s what you do. ![]()
I said I continued to heal (trying my best), but there is only so much I can do. That’s not “giving up immediately”.
